Beehive Craft Studio

I was overjoyed to find such a great modern quilt shop! There were several rooms with fabric and an amazing collection of Ruby Star fabrics. It was really nice to be able to see so many lines together and match prints from different lines- this is not doable when online shopping. There was also a good amount of Kona cottons, Echino, holiday fabrics, garment fabrics, widebacks, and rayons. Lots of quilt, project, and clothing patterns. The notions were really well stocked and all the neat, new, cool gadgets and notions. I long for a quilt store this great close to home! I was visiting from out of town and this spot was worth the Lyft/Uber/cab fare. The owner was extremely friendly and the perfect amount of helpful- where you know you can ask for suggestions but she didn’t push anything on me. I felt like I talked non-stop as it was great to be in such an excellent quilt shop. I highly recommend visiting here. There are classes and this is such a great spot for kids to learn to sew as well. Austin, support and cherish this small business!

I have only ordered online from Beehive Craft Studio but I am excited to visit in person very soon. My online order was easy to place and arrived quickly. I had a question about my order and I had a quick and helpful reply. The customer service is incredible and I am grateful to have found such a cool shop. ♡ I ordered some stitching thread I had been searching for and the quality was even better than my expectations.

Very cute store, staff are really helpful.
They carry a lot of the nicer quilting brands such as ruby star and kona. They do have a small selection of apparel suitable fabric, including some of the Robert Kaufman. I really enjoy the fun selection of tools and notions they have, everything seems very curated. They could also order things in for me, which was good to know for the future.

Beehive is THE place for your fabric needs in Austin. They have a beautifully curated collection of fabric for quilting, garment making and more. I’ve taken several quilting classes here and have learned a ton. The owner and staff and super helpful and so nice!

I can't say enough how much I love it here! If you are into modern quilting fabrics, this is the only place you need to go in Austin. The women that work here are so wonderful and creative, they've helped me numerous times and I am happy to support them!

Great locally owned sewing and fabric shop. Friendly staff. Wonderful selection of fabrics that can also be purchased online. Sewing classes for young and old. Rent their machine if you don't have one or don't want to bring your own. Highly recommended!

Kim is a lovely person and has the best fabric selection I’ve ever seen! I highly recommend her studio- my daughter has been taking sewing lessons from Kim and not only makes beautiful things, but also really enjoys the process of learning how to use a sewing machine properly!

KC was incredibly kind and helpful during my visit to the shop, giving me tips and great recommendations for fabrics/tools I needed for the project I am working on.

Plenty of fabrics to choose from. The owner is obviously passionate about what she does and is very kind and supportive about your own project. Nicely organized. A great local business to support!

I can't recommend Beehive enough. Kim is SO helpful and friendly, they have a gorgeous and diverse selection of high quality fabrics, and they're always happy to help you troubleshoot a project! Go here!

This is a GREAT store! Kim (owner) is fantastic and is super quick to reply and ready orders. You can't go INSIDE the shop right now, but everything is available ONLINE in their web based store! Kim packs up everything in an adorable little bag (often with extra goodies, like stickers, pins and project bags!) and puts your purchase in a sealed box outside of her shop, to keep up with social distancing practices. Their fabric is TOP NOTCH, they carry all the best quilting fabric designers. If you've been around Austin for awhile, you may have shopped at Stitch Lab in the past.. this shop carries a very similar variety of fabric (AKA, SUPER CUTE STUFF! - We miss you forever, Stich Lab! ). Long story short, Kin and her shop are amazing, give her money and get cute stuff! :)

The staff very helpful with helping me select a shirt pattern and fabric. The fabric selections are wonderful.

Kim is fantastic! She has a very fun, flexible approach that helped my daughter complete a few complicated projects. I have no doubt that her new space is the perfect place for creativity.
