This is the holy grail of thrifting. This center has three sections, bargain side, regularly priced and toys. The goods here, especially the art and toys, are better than most any area thrift shop. They are a high volume store, but the level of donations flowing in makes certain that you will find wonderful treasures. I will caution you to be careful about being there when they open as there is a long line and people will literally stampede to get in. The flippers here are so rude that they had to hire security. People literally fight over tickets for items. I was shocked to have a flipper literally walk up to an item I was inspecting and take the ticket from me. Afternoon isn’t so bad and they do a store reset, so you will still have a great selection and fewer crazy flippers to deal with.

The staff is friendly. The store is well organized and the prices are good. I’ve seen some bad behavior from people who come in to buy stuff to resale.
I love to shop there…. I’m sorry people have stolen stuff to the point that security has been hired and they had to make rules about taking purchases to our cars.
I will be back!

This place is fantastic. The staff is great . Very friendly and helpful. I love the cashiers they are always so nice. Steve is my favorite. He does everything possible to help customers, loads furniture up perfectly and carefully, always happy. Chris is also wonderful, friendly, and will help you in any way possible. all of the staff is amazing . Great prices. Unlike other thrift stores. New items a couple times a day. Sometimes more. It's a treasure hunt. Sometimes you have to wait. Some days you leave with everything you came for and more ! If u don't get what you want , that's ok. Just come back. They always put out more. They help the community in so many ways. By far the best thrift store in the area ! 😊💓👍👍👍👍👍

We love coming to this place to shop. Prices are excellent and things are kept well organized. One fun thing is to be there at 3:00 pm when they shut down for 10 minutes as they bring in a new batch of items. Everyone has to stand back of a line during that time and then gets to go in and see what just came out of the sorting/storage area.

People are awesome…. I found a 1800’s portrait, which was a fluke, it’s worth $1,000 at most, but it was super cool and gave it to my sister who loves that kind of thing. I’ve found Levis there for $4 and under, there is a ton of furniture and home decor. Don’t go on Sunday’s it’s crazy busy with long lines, in less you show up an hour before they close, then it’s okay.

I love this place! They are absolutely all about helping people! They make things affordable- furniture, clothes, etc. Unlike other major organizations that keep raising their prices and gouging what they can get out of you for the least used thing. Thank you Samaritan Center for helping me furnish my apartment for so little money! And also for your kindness and smiles!

I love the Samaritan center. Though it is not my community I know that my money that I spend there goes into it that community there in Ooltewah to help people in need and that's a good feeling. There's usually plenty of stuff for everybody and sometimes on Sundays the lines out the door and down the sidewalkjust to get in the place . So that should say something about their popularity. They do bring out nice things the staff is very friendly and helpful especially the furniture guys I want to just shout out to Chris and to Steve back there and Gabe as well, they work hard to make sure that they're constantly moving that furniture and they're wonderful at helping you load. Steve has a really nice demeanor he's a soft-spoken kind, gentle person, and he's just really nice he'll do everything he can to make sure that what I purchased can be put in the back of my vehicle.
We've tried all kinds of ways and made it work every time.. Chris ,well he's just like a fixture in that store. He's been there for a long, long time he's a very good person. He's got a good heart and a good soul and he doesn't mind helping either. They all three load your stuff for you with nothing but the utmost care. If you can back up the ramp for will call. I can do it but they know it's a little iffy with me, lol. I manage to try to go a couple of times a week just because I know they get some of the best donations that I've ever seen in any thrift store and their prices are so reasonable that they're affordable for most anybody. I can't say so for their competitors they're not affordable anymore. I will hope that the Samaritan center continues to stay the way that it is and doesn't rise in prices like the rest of the thrift stores all around have. Taking the fun out of saving money by shopping there. I'll be back next week to see what good things they have in store. I'm sure I will find something I always do. If you've never been you need to check it out. It's just really interesting and there are plenty of treasures to be found.

When I visit Chattanooga area I always make a point to visit the Good Samaritan. I always find the staff helpful along with many great deals. I go back to my hometown and people ask me what get deals did I get. Good to know that help can be available along with a chance to tell about Jesus!!

This a awesome place. If you don't have a lot of money or have a house full of kids or just want to shop for someone else or yourself
Got three different parts to this store. Used stuff priced great, the other sides stuff is really priced great then you have the toy store.

This store is well worth the 15 mile drive from home. Excellent parking facilities. Well lighted and clean wide aisles. Friendly personnel. Always something new and fresh. A not for profit organization. Also, great book selection.

I have shopped here for way over twelve years. I love to see what bargains I can find. But in the last few weeks they have decided I'm stealing.i have never stole anything from there or any place.I"m 64 years old and never been treated like a theft until lately. I was chased out of the store yelling I want to see what's under your blanket. Of course I had nothing. The blanket was a little throw I was trying to stay warm. I'm taking treatment for cancer and I stay cold. Everyone was laughing but me I left crying and l haven't been back this week.i love shopping there until they decided I'm a theft. It hurts because now everyone thinks I steal. I promise I don't take anything I don't pay for I have no reason to steal

Great place for clothing, shoes, housewares and many other things like furniture. I bought my couch there in almost new condition for $40. Both sides recline independently..I've got Nike's in great condition for $1 Twice..bought clothes for church including Ties for just a few dollars...75cents on clothes and $1 on shoe's..They also have a Up scale side but still the clothing is much cheaper than retail stores...I got most my canning jars there this past summer for a faction of what Walmart or any other place would of cost..

My boyfriend and I frequently donate/shop here and we love it! Always find something and the prices are insanely low. My only real complaint is the customers. More often than not there are a lot of invasive/pushy/rude people there and it's unnecessary. The staff is always extremely polite and they're usually pretty busy. We have gone when they opened once and there was a line outside the door on a regular weekday. If you can handle the crowd and have a good eye (it is a bit cluttered) then you'll have no problem snagging what you want and love here :)

An excellent place to find just about anything! The only area for improvement is that they will not help you load heavy items into your car. They don't have that posted anywhere around the store and we didn't even find out about that until after we had already paid for our purchases. So I guess either take a friend to help you or choose another place to purchase those large household items you're looking for.

Love to visit, buy and donate. Good cause and unlike other donation centers 100% profit to cause not the CEO.

The Samaritan Center is an amazing place you can find things that you weren't thinking you would need and find them at a price that you just can't pass up and it's good knowing that everything you spend there the money goes to help people I always come away with something I wasn't looking for that I can use and something that just surprises me at the great deal I was able to pick up
