Kirin King

We visited yesterday for lunch. The service was really great. The food was much better quality than I expected. I had their Fat Boy Poke Bowl with fresh tuna and salmon. It also had some shrimp that was firm but not overcooked. The toppings were fresh and tasty. They very thinly slice their peppers which made for a delightful bite without scorching my mouth.
We also tried their hibachi steak and the honey chicken. The kids loved the hibachi steak. The meat was flavorful and came with vegetables.
The honey chicken came with only a small garnish of beautifully steamed broccoli. I would've eaten a lot more of the broccoli. You can tell the chicken was prepared when we order it. It definitely wasn't sitting around in a holding area waiting for someone to order it.
They brought us a bowl of edamame to snack on while our food was being prepared and it was fresh and delicious.
We will definitely be back.

Amazing, delectable, cravable flavors. Extremely kind waitstaff. I tried this place the 1st week they opened and have revisited a 2nd and 3rd time. Every time I leave, I'm already planning what to try on the next visit. For those that may judge a book by the cover, the building is the old Porters steakhouse, which was oddly segmented into three different units. It seems Kirin might still be figuring out how to setup shop with this quirky layout but don't let this deter you from trying their food. Yum!

Great bang for the buck! We had the “all you could eat sushi” and the food was absolutely delicious…best crab Rangoon I’ve ever had and all the fish was super fresh. Wanna try something super weird but yummy? Try their shaved ice…we’re enjoying the chocolate shaved ice now. We’ll definitely be back.

We have ordered a couple of times from Kirin King and it has been amazing. We utilize the delivery option they are quick and the food is always hot when it arrives. Very flavorful and the actual meals are sent in nice plastic containers so there is no leakage like other places. We will be frequent customers for sure

Second time in 1 week here for the all you can eat Sushi. A new favorite. Enjoy the variety of the menu and the time for presentation. 1st time was slower service that the second, but both times worth the wait.

From the lighting to the music, the art and hanging decor were absolutely splendid! I now have a new go-to spot for my sushi and Tonkotsu Ramen needs!
I got the Tonkatsu Tonkotsu Ramen and my partner got the all you can eat sushi along with crab rangoon and egg rolls.
The server and host were kind and polite, and made sure our every need was met.
10/10 we will absolutely be coming again.

Kirin King’s sushi is excellent. I’m a big sushi fan and they did not disappoint. They have all the best parts of a sushi restaurant in one: All you can eat, High quality, great service, and even a revolving sushi bar / conveyer belt! Will be coming back and highly recommend!

This place does not disappoint! This is our second time here and the sushi is excellent and we love it is all you can eat, which includes the whole menu! You can’t beat the pricing! The service is some of the best we’ve received! This is our go to sushi place for sure!

I’ve been looking forward to this place being open ever since they put the sign up! So happy to have restaurants like this open in Crystal Lake 😁 they have different sections in the restaurant, the rotary sushi is in a certain area so if you’re coming for that make sure to tell the person seating you! We picked a couple of things from the rotary sushi belt as well as ordered from the main menu. The sushi from the belt was INCREDIBLY fresh, Im not always a huge fan of nigiri but they do it soooo right. The fish was so soft and sweet it was just great, next time I come I will be doing the all-you-can-eat and going to town on those little plates

My wife and I recently visited Kirin King Restaurant in Crystal Lake, Illinois, and I had an amazing experience with their sushi and service. The sushi was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. The variety of flavors and textures kept my taste buds dancing throughout the meal.

Our server was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was top-notch.

The only minor downside was the slightly awkward decor on the walls, but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyable atmosphere of the restaurant.

I would highly recommend Kirin King Restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic sushi dining experience with great food and even better service. Double thumbs up for the delicious cuisine and the friendliness of the staff! Will definitely be coming back for more.

The best crab Rangoon, the best orange chicken and the best lo mein. I recommend them 100%. Everyone is real nice.

I've been ordering takeout since they opened (which is incredible), but finally dined in last week. Super nice people, service was great, best chinese in the county in my opinion. And one of the best for sushi as well. The only complaint was that there was a family who very clearly brought their family dog (as evidenced by it wandering around the restaurant) and NOT a service animal.

This is a run of the mill sushi place with a rotary bar. It’s a decent place and you can tell they’re trying to fix the kinks. My wife and I came here and we had a good time and our server was great.

Tried this for the first time, the service and the food was fresh and terrific. The place was empty on a Saturday night and can't understand why. Go everyone, let's support this local business! (Not affiliated with this business)

I LOVE their sushi and Thai food! They have an all you can eat deal, and you have 2 pages of great stuff to choose from! Great deal!

Had the all you can eat dinner and it was delicious! Friendly service and lovely atmosphere. It's really beautiful inside. Would definitely reccomend!

Very nice surprise for Mchenry county. They are still not fully set up with their decor, but the food is excellent. I tried the AYCE sushi, which included everything on their sushi/maki/nigiri menu as well as appetizers. The conveyer belt is always a nice way to try new things and ordered nigiri staples off the menu. we were the only ones in on a monday night but they were adding new inventory to the belt regularly. The star was their seared salmon nigiri with miso mayo! My husband opted for their chinese menu and had sweet and sour chicken. It was elegantly plated and a perfect single portion with just a bit leftover. Also a pleasant surprise was their tea selection! Their long jing (dragonwell) was perfectly brewed and not scorched at all. Very sweet and pleasant. So happy they have moved into crystal lake! Plan to visit often, and it seems to be owned and waited on by a family at present.
