Pet Food Express

The staff was AMAZING! My dad passed a few months ago, and his dog ended up getting neglected where she lived. Some good friends and I met here to give her a bath and buy her a few new things before she went for a trial stay at a new home. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had enough time with the bath, extra cookies, and everyone paid lots of attention to her. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience despite the bittersweet situation.

Great place to buy quality products for pets. I've been coming here for a couple of years now for my two cats and not only do they have amazing customer service and they're always super friendly, but the pricing is great with their buy four get one free deal and they're often having sales as well. It's never crowded, it's always super clean and there's always ample parking so it's just a win-win all around.

I come here at least once a week to bring my dog for a bath or other treats/food/ and toys. The staff here are extremely friendly and always make conversation with myself and my dog. They really take the time to get to know you and answer any questions you may have. One employee even gave my dog a peanut butter cookie from the shelf for free which was extremely nice.

The store is always clean and well stocked. The pet bath is also amazing! There's different shampoos to choose and it also has an oxygen infused option. I like the hoses with the interchangeable water frequencies. Each bath station has multiple hook ups as well. I always buy the buy 3 tokens get the 4th free. It's around $18 for each token I believe.

Be sure to check out their fresh food in the refrigerators. They also have dog ice cream and birthday/special occasion cookies and treats. Definitely recommend this store!

I love this place. The employees are the nicest retail workers I’ve ever encountered. They all care so much about animals and you can tell they are so passionate about helping people. They have a fantastic selection of treats, food, and the only toys that my pitty can’t rip open. They even have a very cute section for birthday doggy treats.

We are so excited to have a local Pet Food Express here in EDH.

The staff were all super nice and ready to help with any questions. We had our pup with us and he got some awesome treats, so he was happy too.

They carry Pure Vita canned foods, which can sometimes be hard to find and their prices were great!

We will definitely be coming back for our dog food and anything else we need for our fur babies.

Willis the Wonderdoodle has been displaced from his home in pollock pines due to the caldor fire. We needed a few things to help us get by since we’ve been misplaced for six days. To our shock and awe the few things we needed at pet food express was concerned 100pct by the store including a token for a dog wash. This will be our store going forward!!! Awesome customer service even during a lousy time on our lives.

Have a service dog training class there. Always purchase my treats there. They have a wonderful bathing facility for your pet. Employees are always helpful.

I stopped in to the Pet Food Express in El Dorado Hills tonight just to pick up a few dog bones for my doggies. What an unexpectedly wonderful experience that I had in there! I live by Placerville so I'm not always in this area, so it was an impulse stop. Your store is so immaculate and well organized that I just couldn't even believe it. Also your prices are competitive with Lee's Feed where I usually shop in Shingle Springs. But the most wonderful unexpected thing was your workers Gwyn and Jolie.
They are so friendly and helpful and directed me to all of the things that I wanted to look at. I ended up buying tons of different bones and I am excited about your deal where you buy three and get the fourth one free! They definitely don't have that at Lees Feed. (by the way the customer service at Lee's Feed is awesome also, and they have an extensive fish and aquarium department and I have fishies) I also decided, since I needed dog food anyway and Lee's Feed is now closed for the night, to get dog food here because of your wonderful workers and I just wanted to support your business in this way. I planned to spend about 20 bucks and ended up spending over $70! I am so happy! It is unfortunately rare nowadays to find that kind of customer care and customer service. Your two girls are a great asset to your company. I hope you treat them as well as they deserve! Thank you again so much Pet Food Express, for the wonderful experience I had in your store tonight.

Every employee I have interacted with here has been knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Superb customer service all around! Tyler went above and beyond today and deserves kudos.

This store is outstanding. The staff are always happy and upbeat and you hardly ever wait more than a few seconds to check out. I stopped in yesterday and due to a manufacturer issue they didn't have the food I needed. Brian went out of his way to get some from another store but said it would take 7-10 days. Today he called me! They had gotten a delivery and it included the food I needed. In a time where customer service is often lacking, my customer service experience here was superb. Thank you Brian and all the staff at the edh store.

I love this place. Every time I stop by, an employee always assists me by answering all of my questions about pet care politely and patiently. The prices are extremely fair and even then, they're always running some kind of deal or discount on most of their products. The store itself has a warm and friendly atmosphere and I can really tell that the people working here really care about animals.

This morning I went into Pet Food Express in need of some dry dog food for a little dog I'm caring for while his Human is on vacation. She left the choice up to me so I thought I'd get advice from this store on what was good. The young man greeted me with a delightful Good Morning and asked how he could help. I told him what I needed and he showed me his recommendation. I appreciated what he knew and decided this was perfect. He asked if there was anything else I needed and I asked about a certain treat, which he didn't have but suggested something else. Instead of purchasing it, he gave me a sample to take home and see if this little dog liked it. If so I would know it would be a good purchase. (He loved it so I will return to purchase)
This young man was a breath of fresh air and I'm happy I chose Pet Food Express to get what I needed. He was not only helpful but put a smile on my face to start my day.

I have been calling stores all morning trying to find a cat laxative and finally found a store that really talked me through the products they have. Gwen was sincere, kind and patient. She went over all of my options and told me to find her when I get there so she can show me what I need for my cat. I truly appreciate the above and beyond customer service that she gave over the phone. I will be referring all of my friends and family there for any pet items we may need. Thank you!

I’ve been in the new store in EDH several times since opening. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They carry top quality food and treats. Plus it’s a great place to take your pet for an outing. While I’ve never used their wash center, it looks organized and well set up.

Today I went down the mountain to get my doggie washed. I called 9 grooming place. Not one could get us in. So I thought I would just go back you the hill and wash her when I get back home. I was not excited to wash her outside at my Aunts & Uncles house where I am visiting them. It is hard for me to bend down to was her. I have a bad back and feet. On the way up the mountain I noticed a Pet Express Store. I right away said I’m going there and I can wash her there. I went inside and right a way I was greeted by Parker. Parker was very kind and friendly. I bought some shampoo and brush he recommended. I went to the baths and started washing my Big Girl Ronnie. I forgot I should of bought ear wash because she has been itching her ear. I turned around a the you lady Gwyn asked me if I needed anything. I told her I forgot to get some ear cleaner for Ronnie. She ask me a couple of questions and came back less that 2 minutes with some ear cleaner. I work in Sales myself I know what good customer service looks like. The Store was very clean and friendly. I will now while I’m visiting my family bring my Ronnie and my Aunt & Uncles did Ryder to get a bath there. Since covid-19 everyone is dealing with it their own stress. They are doing a great job by being friendly, knowledgeable, and patience. During these hard times.
