Jim did an awesome job on our driveway gate. We were not disappointed. From the beginning, he was easy to work with showing us exactly what needed replaced and for a great price. I would recommend this company to anyone needing a fence or gate. It looks fantastic! He showed us what it would look like with stain on the cedar by spraying it with water and it looks even better as you can tell with the side by side pic. Can’t wait to stain it!

Everything about working with Jim was great. Quoting process was quick with a simple pricing structure. Total price was significantly lower than some of the other big names in fencing. I believe the quality is higher than what I would have gotten elsewhere as well -- he took his time and did things the right way. Also did some additional work outside the scope of the original quote to fix a gate on my neighbors' fence. Lead time was short and Jim was always prompt to respond to calls or texts throughout. Jim proved to be an expert at diagnosing a pool gate issue. We had reached out to another highly reputable fence company & after their inspection we received a quote of $450 to replace two hinges & make adjustments. We called the Fence Dr & to our amazement Jim came out on Labor Day. He made several adjustments trouble shooting what appeared to be a confounding out of alignment issue. Jim fixed the issues, no new hinges required. The pool gate is working like a charm. Great repair service, Jim is fair, honest and saved us several hundred dollars.

Jim came out to do my estimate. His partner, Tyrone did the work. He tore down the fence and installed the new one. I would highly recommend the Fence Doctor for your fencing needs.

Quality work for a reasonable price and in a timely manner.

Cost: I was quoted the raw materials for the job through a supplier for 50' shadowbox fence and Jim came in with a quote for material and labor of ~double. Based on other quotes I got for 2.5-3 times the material cost this was more than reasonable to me to pay for labor and install without having to worry about it myself.

Quality: I can tell you, that fence does not look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. Solid work with a sturdy foundation will hopefully prevent any leaning or deterioration of the fence over time. I will update back if I have any issues in the next year or so.

Experience:
I had Jim out October 7th for a quote. Within a couple days he had the quoted values for a shadow box fence for the 3 sides of my property. The following week I placed a down payment with him for work to occur the first week of November. Unfortunately for me, I was sent on a business trip for the month of November starting that Monday. I shouldn't have worried at all about not being on-site during the work. The quality and responsiveness from Mr. Combs was excellent. I discussed burying the 8' posts deep enough to get past the frost barrier in the ground and making sure there was enough cement to support them, but not sink the posts and he assured me that they would be meet my request and even exceeded it by a few inches just for certainty. The first day they came out to set the posts is was pouring raining and the posts were installed the following day. I was updated on this delay and had no issues. The following Monday they came back after allowing the poles to set to complete the fence. It was perfect. The posts were in line perfectly and didn't move at all in the 5 days they were standing alone without bracing. "[Jim] It will take hurricane force winds to move my posts" - which is excellent with me, as I plan on owning the home for a long while!

It’s evident that they care about doing quality work. They embraced the needs and desires we had for the fence in the most detailed of ways. They sought advisement on key decisions and offered solutions for problem areas in the yard. There was a board that was put on slightly bent, It wasn’t a huge deal or that noticeable but when they came to finish the job they fixed it-i didn’t ask. While I was already pleased even if they didn’t fix it, the action says a lot about the type of care they take in their work. I highly recommend the Fence Doctor. Thank you!!!

Jim did a great job repairing several sections our 6 ft cedar fence that were damaged in a windstorm. He came quickly to provide a quote and took the time to explain the materials and the work. When I noticed another damaged post half way through the project he was able to come back and fix that too. This company is honest and does quality work at a great price. I would hire Fence Doctor again and highly recommend them!

I have worked with Fence Doctor on about a half dozen jobs. Jim has always done exceptional work for good value. He has gone above and beyond, even letting us know that beyond sagging a fence was in great shape and he re-dug and placed posts to fix the issue. We had asked for a new fence.

We were very pleased with both the quality of work and communication with Jim and Angela on our fence project. Our project began while we were still out-of-state, and Jim was very diligent in communicating with us, and taking two separate visits to the new property. They were super responsive and had a perfect time line to put our fence up on our new home. They had posts up and set in a day and the rest of it built the next. Music to my ears after having several larger companies tell me it was going to be a 4+ month wait just to have someone glance at it.

Really glad we went with Fence Doctor of Cincinnati. They fixed all the mistakes others made and all at a really fair price. Had a large cedar gate installed by one of the "large" local fence companies. Had issues with the gate within the first year. Received terrible service by this big company and were basically ignored when the issues became major. Called Fence Doctor of Cincinnati. Truly excellent workmanship. The gate is now better than it was when new. No corners were cut and now we know who to go to for any fence work in the future. No one else will get my work and I will make it my mission to spread the word about the great work they do.
