Summit Guitar School

Our daughter had a wonderful experience with Summit Guitar School. After taking lessons with another local group and not feeling comfortable with her teacher, we were looking for another option. Brett was very patient with her and taught her so much!

My son took lessons for several years with Brett before he left for college.
He enjoyed Brett as a person and a guitar teacher.
He is patient and always looking for ways to improve and teach his students new skills.

Brett is a great teacher. My daughter loves her lessons! He is always prepared and has good content ready for each lesson. I'm surprised how quickly she is picking things up and progressing. He's very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend him!

Brett is an outstanding teacher of all ages. As an older student with kids of my own and a busy schedule, Brett is very patient and understanding when I don't get to practice as much as I would like. He does a great job of tailoring the lesson and the music we play to fit my interests. Whether you are looking to learn the electric or acoustic, I highly recommend Brett and Summit Guitar School. He is an excellent teacher/performer and an all around good guy.

I took lessons with Brett Blakemore for four semesters (two school years) and I really enjoyed it. It was my first time taking actual guitar lessons with someone and I couldn't have asked for a better instructor. He is laid back, very nice, and knows what he's talking about. I absolutely recommend him for anyone interested in learning to play guitar, reading guitar music and tabs, or just becoming a better guitarist.

I've been taking lessons for a year now from Brett and am still enjoying every week. He's extremely knowledgeable about music. He has a classical education in music, and is putting that in practice by playing professionally for rock, country, jazz, and worship bands. I like that I can ask to play anything and he's done it and can teach it well. Very patient, great with kids, great for adults.

Guitar lessons with Mr. Blakemore have been such a great experience for my son (age 10)! We have been amazed at the things he has been able to play and how excited he is about his lessons! I think Mr. Blakemore made an effort to find out what kind of music my son would like and that has made all the difference.

Brett is an extremely talented guitar player and an excellent teacher. He is patient and methodical, and also very friendly. It was very exciting to work with him and make progress week by week. I recommend him very highly.

Brett recently performed and sang at our wedding ceremony. I had many guests at the reception tell me they not only liked the live music, but they loved his voice. Even though I have never taken a lesson from Brett, in meeting with him and discussing ceremony plans he was patient and confident. Up until the ceremony day he reassured me over and over that there was nothing to worry about, and boy was he right. He did a fantastic job. His passion for playing the guitar sure showed in his performance.

Brett is a rock star! My daughter has progressed so much since working with him! She performed at the Student Showcase today, and I was blown away! Highly recommend Summit Guitar School!

I'm doing the online lessons and it's AMAZING it's great for me because i'm always busy and running around places its great to just be at home and grab my computer and start lessons. I definitely recommend the online lessons!
