Toy Joy

I had an absolutely lovely visit today! The store is very charming, fits a surprising amount of things for it's amount of space while still being organised, and has prices that are surprisingly affordable for a toy store. The cashier was super nice, too, I liked the atmosphere a lot. I bought a stuffed animal armadillo and some little animal good luck charms and have 0 buyers remorse.

I have to control myself not to buy everything here! They have plenty of game toys, anime stuff, blind boxes, even cute tarot. I was overwhelmed and excited. I will be back to get a tarot for me 😍😍🥰😍

This place was so fun! They had pretty much everything from nostalgic 90s books to anime figurines. I mean seriously, books, board games, stuffed animals, pins, figurines, they have it all!! Great place to find a little Studio Ghibli, super heros, Rilukkuma, Hello Kitty, Scooby Doo, anime, I mean I felt like they literally had something for everyone. Such a fun store and I'll definitely be back.

Toy Joy is a place to find that hard to find toy or collectable. You can literally spend a long time just browsing around looking at all the merchandise from international markets. This is one of my main places to shop for the holidays.

A very cool downtown toy shop. Smaller than other toy stores in a 10 mile radius, but they make up for it by having a great selection and pretty impressive inventory. Also, the staff is always very friendly and helpful, even when kids come up to purchase their own toys. Plus, it’s next door to the Yummi Joy Candy and Ice Cream Shop. So make a trip out of it, or stop in while walking downtown Austin.

This store is like walking into a museum of smiles and nostalgia. I love stopping by Toy Joy and finding unique gifts and collectables. Note they have a good selection of TMNT dogs, NECA, and side show pieces.

Great place to pick out unique toys and collectibles. Found very knowledgeable and cool staff, open to show and discuss the different items. ToyJoy is fun for all ages. I found great and different Valentine gifts there. Fun place to spend some time and explore.

everyone working here is very nice, they have a fun & eclectic selection of trinkets and gizmos. there's really something for everybody! love popping in even if all the undertale remixes result in some form of ego death

It’s real joy to shop at this store! Not only they have amazingly vast choices but their staff makes the entire experience extremely joyful! Ethan and Shay helped me out today both these people were radiating positive vibes. Will come again for sure! Best toy store in town!

Toy Joy is one of our favorite places to shop in Austin. Every time we have one of our friends/family from out of town we take them here to experience the magic. We are true kids at heart and love collecting blind boxes. Best thing is you can exchange them if you get a duplicate! Also Yummj Joy has one of a kind delicious and punny candy that is a must to fuel the magical shopping experience! Pusheen, I Heart Guts, Squishables, MonChiChis and so so so much more for babies to the elderly! Toys, books, office must haves and more. We love going every time!

Hands down one of the best toy stores I've ever visited! I couldn't believe the vast amount of kids toys, books, stuffed animals, cars, and more. I was looking for something unique to bring back for my kiddos while on a business trip and this place delivered. If I am ever back in Austin, it'll be one of the first places I visit again!

Sept. 5 Covid update: the rules are a little stricter here compared to other places. Rules; 1. Wear a mask. 2. You have to keep the family together - no wandering off. 3. Anything you touch must go in your basked even if you are not buying it. We spent about 20-25 minutes in the store and the staff were generous in offering ideas as I was helping my daughter learn the value of money by giving her a budget. The store is small, but it’s jam-packed with just about everything a kid or an adult may enjoy! An absolute ‘must-see’ ATX favorite.

Super adorable store. They had a huge selection of toys, and were pretty organized despite the packed shelves. Every time i come here, I feel like I'm finding something new to buy n gift. Great place to swing by if looking for toys, gifts, or somewhere to shop in general. They got some silly things there that personally, have always left me walking out of there with a smile

Very cute store beside a delicious sweets shop. Everyone in the store was super friendly. They have. A great collection of unique toys, puzzles, board games and even clothing. The prices are also reasonable, would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're looking for some goodies!

This is a great taste of Japanese culture right in the heart of Austin. Great things to find and see for children and adults. Highly recommend.

Did you get denied a Gundam that you wanted as a child? You can make it happen now. 😉 There are so many toys to explore here in this fun little shop. Maybe you'll find something for your brother's birthday, like my wife did. Stop by you won't be disappointed.

Their selection is amazing. They've got little puzzles, musical instruments, diorama kits, seen on TV stuff, plastic animals, stuffed toys, they even have a great selection of anime/Japanese pop culture merchandise. The markup from what you'd pay for something online isn't crazy, either -- maybe 10%, which is reasonable for running a storefront. It's fun just to walk around the store and see everything they have.
