Go and see Lloyd and Brock at Bay Baits, it is the place to go for any fishing gear , kayak rentals , kayak fishing, they also carry a local brand that was started in 2019 called “Choona” super high quality fishing /travel/ adventure clothing !

My kids and I stopped here for bait on the way to Pilcher Park. They had frozen bait, ice, a big selection of fishing poles as well as accessories. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have t-shirts, pants, long sleeve shirts, beanies and hats. My boys loved the hats, my younger son would have gotten one too, but the adult size was too big for him. Great place!

Great shop with guys that know their stuff. Got us set up to fish off the beach and go crabbing. A lot of selections with gear and baits. Check them out!

As an angler learning the ins and outs of inshore/offshore fishing, I have come to absolutely love this place. Every staff member is beyond helpful and pleasant. But Scott, is my absolute favorite. He is so knowledgeable about the area and has really helped me have productive days on the water. If you need great gear and bait or some helpful tips, Bay Baits and Scott should be your choice.

Best service out of any of the local fishing gear and bait shops. Small space but a lot of fishing stuff and very helpful staff.

Locally owned and operated with the type of staff we should experience all the time. We ask a question and the staff immediately responds with a variety of answers all pending on how technical you want to be.
Their inventory is amazing and the customer service is above and beyond.

Great little bait shop. Wide selection of bait and tackle. I'd say the tackle is expensive from my experience, but they do have it.. They do not sale licenses. You have to do that on line now even at Walmart. A year long permit isn't that much more than a 3 day permit.

Very nice store. Have all kinds of yeti and fishing equipment, live bait. And the staff is very helpful

What a fantastic fishing trip! I booked a kayak fishing trip for my husband with Bay Baits and they were awesome. He went out for a half day on beautiful water and fished for species he'd never fished for before. Bay Baits provides everything for bait fishing, but my husband also brought his fly rod out for a few casts. They caught a few, but no keepers, due to the funny weather patterns going on. But even so, my husband said this was the best fishing trip, even compared to other trips where he caught keepers.

Evan was a great guide. Reliable and easy to work with. Would definitely book with them again! Great little fishing shop, too.

Llyod at Bay Baits was super helpful. We were camping near by and looking for guidance on the proper rig for super fishing in the area. Not only did he point me in the direction of the correct tackle he helped me setup one of my rods.

Awesome bait shop. The place is super clean and very well organized on the inside. They have a very good selection of tackle, rods, reels, and everything in between. Very convenient to the 331 boat launch or for pier fishing off of 331. Also, if you can get into water of about 2’ in your boat then you can access them from the Bay as well as there is a pier that you can dock at. The guy behind the counter was super helpful and even pointed us to some new spots to try.

We bought shrimp Sunday for 4.25 a dozen. They were healthy and pretty decent size. I highly recommend this place. Check it out even if you are just passing by.

Seth, Darren and Lloyd provided more insight, guidance and encouragement than I could have imagined. To say it’s been a vacation game changer is an understatement.. In addition to the perfect pattern for the day, location and fish you're pursuing, they have tackle and live bait. EVERYTHING they have suggested has worked. How do I know? I hauled in the biggest red I’d ever seen hours after stopping in. The next day they suggested I change things up...and BOOM!...they did it again. Ask any local angler and they’ll tell you the same. Wishing you success on the water! You’ve found your source to start.

I stopped by for some bait and a lightweight rod and reel combo and was helped by Seth. He was incredible. Although he was super busy with other customers he took the time to give me advice and make sure he helped me purchase things that would optimize my experience shore fishing with my kids. He was spot-on! With his advice, my kids and I caught a huge pompano and 5 massive redfish! The last two redfish were the biggest I’ve ever personally seen. The service and good luck brought by this place makes me a loyal customer!

They have live shrimp here. Shrimp lasted couple hours. Brock was super helpful getting my line set up with some new things he suggested for Florida fishing. They were busy!!! Santa Rosa beach.

Don’t be intimidated if you don’t know what you need, just ask. The crew is comprised of anglers who only stock gear they will/ do use.

excellent selection of tackle and outstanding service. Was there a few weeks ago heading back to Ft Benning. Decided to throw my yak in one last time before heading home. Stopped by the shop and the young man working sold me some shrimp and provided a nice plastic bait bucket, free. He also asked if I was military, I said yes and he gave me a small discount. I didn’t care about the discount, it was just nice for someone to recognize and offer a military discount without me having to ask for it.
This is how not just bait shops but stores in general should conduct business.
Oh and I did return the plastic bait bucket.
