Last minute emergency need for 21st birthday party. Mel was very, very helpful and rented the big room to them for the same evening! He set up tables and chairs and helped in every way he could! Definitely recommend this facility for any party room needs!! Thank you, Mel, for being compassionate and taking the time with the party!! We'll be back!!

Had the best meal and great conversation. I ordered brisket and hubs ordered liver and onions. DELICIOUS is how the hubs described it! Going back on Friday evening March 1 2024 for some food and jazz! If you haven’t tried it you should!

So this place has been on my places to visit since moving to Denison. They did not disappoint!! Exceptional service, great food, great atmosphere for Date Night and a vibe for sure. It was a pleasure to finally go to a place where they are truly committed to going above with their service standards and beyond with their guests. You need to be here and experience it for yourself!!!

Mell's is superb, full stop and Mic drop. Don't let the apparent lack of parking deter you, this is well worth dealing with that inconvenience I promise.
Our meal tonight was blackened catfish and blackened shrimp, both were phenomenal and I have to say the catfish was the best I've ever eaten. Red beans were awesome as well.
Mell and the staff are super-friendly and want your experience to be a great one, we will be back and hope to see you there!

On first glance the atmosphere doesn't seem like much, but the second you meet Mell and smell the food you know this place is a winner. I had the crab cakes, they were incredible. Highly recommend giving this place a try!! It's BYOB and a great place to hang out.

If you haven't tried Mell's yet you're missing out. We loved the blackened shrimp and the blackened catfish. Delicious food at a great price. Mell and his wife are wonderful hosts and djsolo kept us dancing for hours. Remember to bring your own alcohol and Mell will supply the food and fun.

It was my first time eating at mells Grill Restaurant the food was delicious. I had catfish,collard greens, red beans and rice,Cajun chicken wings and great food and the DJ was great also

The food and service is AMAZING. They are open when the hours say, reservations are not required. It looks closed alot of the time but the door is located in a dark area.

The catfish was amazing!!!! Mel is so friendly and fun to chat with. He had trivia game to play while he cooked and prices were really great especially since we had enough food to take home.

Go to the best place locally for food and music! Food was delicious. DJ knows what to play for his audience. We had the best time!

I am always impressed with quality of food and the wonderful variety of food made. The absolute most flavorful brisket and everything I've tried has so much love and thought put into it with the flavors and textures it's definitely one of my favorite places to eat on the go in Wylie.

Fantastic family-owned business! We had it catered at my job and the food was delicious, ESPECIALLY the pork and beans! Big servings, so plenty of leftovers. Definitely give them a try if you are in the area!

Mells had a calming, relaxing atomsphere. The jazz bad, "POF" was terrific and the food was great!. I would definitely go again.

Mell’s Grill catered my daughter’s wedding reception and we were thrilled with the food! It was so delicious and hot (despite delivering to Cedar Creek Lake and serving it in a tent!). For many of our “Yankee” guests, this was their first experience with Texas barbecue and they LOVED it! Highly recommend!

From Softball Tournaments to Corporate gatherings. Mells grill is a great way to bring good food and exceptional service to your event! Also a great way to feed your staff when you don't have many food options around. Cant wait to work with yall in the future!!
