Best traditional and charcoal sourdough on planet earth. I’ve traveled all over the world tasting some of the best breads and this shop is truly the best. SB Hives has such a cool local atmosphere. The owner was there when I stopped in and he is so personable. He also makes all of his own honey, candles, and lip balms. Also must try the croissants and other baked goods.

Oh, this sweet jewel of a place. I look forward to my monthly trips to Carp so I can load up on my favorites - coffee, local honey and baked goods. They have a wonderful gift selection that is high quality and often local. It’s tucked away in a corner off of Palm, just outside of the state park gates and a short walk from town. I’m eating one of their fresh baked muffins and enjoying the drip coffee today - can’t put anything in coffee this good.

What a gem! Hands down the best pastries and treats in town. Hand-crafted, unique, and rotating daily. I had the best sourdough cinnamon rolls here once, and the sourdough bread is delicious. There’s always something new to try. Also, best cup of coffee in Carp.

A must stop during your trip/time in Carp! The pastries, sourdough & coffee are all delish :) Be sure to get their homemade cashew milk in your latte - it's so creamy! Barnaby is fabulous. We are so excited to have SB Hives in town.

OMG, I just stumbled upon the CUTEST store here in Carpinteria! This place is all about the bees! Everything from delicious honey, amazing smelling beeswax candles, soaps, and so much more! Lots of really cool local artisan made gifts as well. The folks who run the place couldn’t be any nicer!! Super welcoming and KNOWLEDGEABLE about the benefits of bees!

I am a honey person but... I was given a bottle of the Avocado Blossom honey and I am addicted. The honey is dark in color with such a rich warm flavor. Not at all cloyingly sweet like more honeys. It will now be a staple in my pantry.

Found this place while walking from our campsite in Carpinteria. Such a gem! The coffee wasn’t my favorite, but the fresh croissants were AMAZING! We went back three times.

Charcoal sourdough bread is so amazing; the best bread I have ever had! Also love the spirilla balls! They make everything themselves.

The best coffee I’ve ever had. Everyone who works here is so kind and I always appreciate the good service. Lots of amazing baked goods and some lunch items that are also fabulous. Lots of handmade items as well! Gluten free and vegan options too!

Became a honey person after receiving a gift of avocado honey. Huge fan of this company ever since! Love their honey varieties, bee pollen, candles, and bath and body products. Last but not least, so appreciate their fantastic customer service; love their care for the customer AND the planet. Great variety of products which make gift giving so easy. Thank you, SBH!

Stopped by to purchase a gift and got some Avocado Honey and a beeswax candle. The woman on site was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They had samples available of their various honeys so you could try before you buy and everything was very reasonably priced. I definitely recommend.

We always make time to stop at SB Hives when in Carp or headed to SB. They have great gift items and provisions to add to a picnic setup. The owners are awesome people and provide a great service to the greater community. I once called and had the nice worker there put together an awesome "SB local" gift basket that they shipped to my friend in Charlottesville.

I've had the chance to check out this place when we were in town for short vacation.
I bought my Chaparral honey here, it is a must lol. They have lots of goodies and beautiful people as well who run this place.

I just visited their shop and they carry so many great items! Plus the owners are great people. A great place to buy gifts for loved ones and items from your home. Everything I bought was cute or delicious and they even carry vegan treats (that was the best vegan cheese I have ever had). I will be back with friends!

I am a huge fan of this amazing company! From saving endangered bees, to supporting agriculture through providing bees to farmers, to the divine honey and bees wax products they sell.... they are a 5🌟 company all around!

There is a bunch of cool and unique things in this shoe. Wish we could have bought one of everything.
