Assateague Island Surf Shop

Nice store with cute, interesting things, clothes, beach blankets.
They sell very aromatic ocean scented soaps, shower gels, etc.
There is a very good coffee shop on the other half of the store.

Stopped here on way back from Assateague beach. Glad we did. Excellent clothing selection for the entire family. Friendly, helpful staff. They have a very special home grown T-shirt that Is destined to be a classic! Didn’t have a chance to eat in the cafe, the menu looked great. Will definitely be back for some food next time. Shop local!

Much cleaner and nicer than Ocean City. The horses didnt come on the beach but were close by. The state park was less populated than the national park area. We had a blast.

I really enjoyed this shop. It has a very nice boutique inside with a large variety of gifts displayed everywhere within the available space. Though some items were on the pricey side, they did offer some affordable options as well. My favorite part was the Cafe inside where I ordered a smoothie, which was very refreshing after spending the day in the sun. They also have some food available as well as coffee.

The BEST açaí bowls! Pricy but totally worth it for a special treat. Also a very cute cafe that would be perfect to hunker down in on a rainy day to catch up on emails or homework. We didn't get a chance to try the coffee this time but look forward to our next visit! The surf shop is cute too. Also pricy, but has great selections.

I stopped in here on my way to hike and kayak on Assateague Island. I had stopped in to just grab a coffee, but ended up purchasing one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time - the sunset - a BLT style sandwich with avocado. The rustic local vibe was a great atmosphere, and the staff were totally relaxed, and welcoming. Tons of souvenirs, surf gear, and fashion.

Very cool place with a full shop to look around and not nearly as crowded as the more touristy places closer to the coast 10/10. And the smoothie bowl was delicious 😋

Good selection of clothes and boards for rent and buy. Rental boards are good quality foam and come with straps for smaller sedans. Found some great quality compression shorts too.

The Surf Cafe has a frozen drink called the Maverick. Perfect for the hellish heat during our visit.

Best acai bowls anywhere in the country! We come every summer. Staff is friendly and the shop has a lot of great choices.

What a nice hidden gem!!! All the surf gear you need and the cafe offers a light, healthy menu as well as coffee. Love supporting small, local business. I♡ASS!

Great place for a quick breakfast and coffee. Better than Starbuck$. Within driving distance of Assateague campground. We always try to come at least one morning every trip for an espresso or latte.

Great place great owners friendly staff. Clothing is very comfortable and a good variety of different styles and brands. The Cafe or coffee shop as you may call it has some tasty treats in it as well. Definitely worth stopping in to check it out

Great place and great staff. Met the owner Denny, he was great to work with, gave tons of advice for picking out my first board even when they are super hard to find right now! Never rushed me at all and was very straight forward. The ladies working in the store helped my wife find clothes in her size. Over all a perfect experience! I will certainly be back.

Truly best Acaei bowl you will have. They are willing to make adjustments to a packed, heavy delight we have enjoyed more than 6 times.

I might suggest the owners consider adding a breakfast menu and pastry selection offered on their web site, to enhance having customers prepare a stop before heading to Assateague National Seashore 4 miles away while increasing business revenue.
If it is posted, I apologize, I couldn't locate it.

This place was awesome! I was in town from Cleveland Ohio and went to assateague State Park to see the horses. After our trip we stopped at this awesome little shop. The acai bowls were 🔥. I chatted with the owners for a little while they were both phenomenal people. Had a hard decision between all of their clothing of picking out a new hat. Will definitely stop there again next time I'm out that way

Stopped in for breakfast and coffee one morning on our trip to OC in 2021. Had the sausage, egg, and cheese and loved it so much came back the next day. Store was nice to visit and picked up a hat and some sticker. I will return again when in town.

Cute little Surf Shop/Cafe/Boutique.
Also rented a surf board for the day at a super reasonable rate. Perfect stop on the way to or from Assateague. Good Coffee too.

Our favorite place to stop each summer! The owner is incredibly kind and thoughtful! Our children love picking out a new “surf hat “ each summer we visit and they can’t wait to see the pup 🐶 inside ! It truly reminds us of SoCal surf shops we frequented growing up! 🏄‍♂
The food and drinks are delicious and while some may say they are expensive- I say, you truly get your money’s worth! They are excellent portion size and delectable! You Must make this shop a priority to visit on your way to surf the shores of Assateague!

Great breakfast burritos, açaí bowls, smoothies, lattes. Perfect location for breakfast and lunch near Assateague Island. Great environment to sit in the coffee shop too. It was so convenient when staying on the seashore. Impressed with the amount and quality of merchandise in the surf shop as well. We will look forward to coming back here when we are in the area!

Assateague surf shop rivals West Coast southern Cali and I can say that because I’ve been there 15 times. Maybe not the same Quantity but definite quality. And they serve great açai bowls to get your day started.
