Came in to purchase the Judge for my anniversary present to my husband of 17years, customer service was excellent, friendly, informative, and easy to talk to. Asked a lot of questions that was answered, and paperwork took only 5 minutes! Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Would recommend this place to anyone wanting a great deal, did I mention I got 30% off!!!!

Greg was most helpful and worked one-on-one with me for almost two hours. He answered every question I had (there were many), was well mannered and spoke very clearly. I can not wait to shop here again and will recommend this business to everyone possible. Great quality products and customer service all around.

Best 9mm price in 50 mile radius

Greg was amazing! I told him I only had about 45 minutes before I had to get back to a meeting for work. He acknowledged that and still got my bow all set up with the arrows while educating me on proper use, and still got me out the door in time. I love this place. It’ll have my business as long as I live in Louisiana.

Very personable staff, they carry a wide selection of quality new and used firearms and firearms accessories. They also have a nice selection of previously used items to choose from... Anything from jewelry, electronics, musical instruments, TV's, to tools and so much more!
Prices are fair and they are always happy to honor military service members and veterans with a discount on any item that is not already discounted or marked with special sale pricing.

These guys are fantastic and I’m extremely stringent with my standards on guns- I have high demands for quality and high expectations for service. I generally hesitate to recommend local mom and pop shops because most just peddle cheap garbage at outrageous prices. Star Pawn is a glowing exception. They are an oasis in this area for the shooting enthusiast.

Selection: they offer something for every level and type of shooter, from hunting, competition, to “tactical” weapons and parts. If they don’t have it, they’re happy to work with the customer to identify their specific needs and get it ordered for them. They also have a good selection of parts from reputable brands, as well as tools, for builders like myself. One of m favorite things is they do a lot of custom work and are always happy to let me look through their parts bins if I can’t find what I want on the retail shelf.

Price: they dominate the local market on price. I do the majority of my shopping online, but they can usually meet or beat online pricing. They really surprised me with how they don’t price gouge and I really appreciate that, since most shops sell anderson receivers for $100+ but I can get a FDE Aero upper and lower matched set from Star for only $170 out the door!

Trades: as a pawn shop, they do trades as well and are always fair with their trade value. I’ve done several trades and never did they short me on the trade value. In my personal experience it’s been about dollar for dollar which you can’t beat anywhere.

Service: they’re extremely appreciative of military, which is surprisingly rare around fort Polk. They offer a 10% military discount on all items in the store, as well as blue label Glock sales, which other dealers in the area won’t do for fear of losing revenue. They also don’t BS their customers- if you have a unique request that they don’t understand, or an odd question, they’ll be up front and tell you they don’t know, or they’ll call an expert in the area and get you in touch with them. They don’t accept work that they’re not capable of doing just to take your money like some other shops will. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they make a point to get to know their customers.

I highly recommend you check them out, and also check out their website. You won’t regret it, and of all the local shops from Deridder to Leesville and even out to Alexandria, these guys definitely deserve your business the most and will be happy to serve you.

Great location, great people and quality products. Usually have some great deals going on like tax free sales. If you need something for your weapons this is the place to go. Also if your military you get a 10% discount on non-sale items, so head on over for all your gun and bow needs.

Awesome store, very friendly folks (always smiling and laughing)... Been doing business with them for 4 yrs now, doing internet business with them... Prices are very competitive with other shops in area and store is very clean and neat.
To previous bad review.... Duh its a Pawn Store, they aren't supposed to give you full price for something, all Pawn Stores do the same, how else are they going to pay their bills...

Bought a used Remington shotgun for $250. Really great price and amazing customer service. Had me in and out in under 15 mins. Even let me test fire. Definitely going back if i need another weapon.
