I've been going to the Rusty Scabbard since High school, so for over 20 years now. I love the store, the staff (Andy, his wife, Chris) I adore the players and building. Best minis gaming in the Lexington area hands down. If you need anything they are always willing to help, and if you want to learn a game, chances are they know it and can teach ya. Also the players here are absolutely the bomb! I have, as stated been going for over 20 years, and will continue as long as I game!

Super cool store! They have lots to offer and it’s such a comfy atmosphere. There are many people playing games and having a great time! I found all the games I was looking for… and a few more! I even got the chance to see some custom painted figures from a guy working at the store- super awesome! I’ll be back for sure! 😊

Got some really great games here! I wish they had more of a selection of board games over D&D items but it’s not anything that’s a deal breaker. Will definitely come back for more games!

I had dropped in to kill some time and unfortunately had to leave abruptly. I wish I'd had more time to look around. Seems like they had pretty much anything you could ask for. I particularly liked the huge selection of tabletop game items. If.i go back to Lexington soon, I'll definitely have to drop back in.

Oldest & best in Lex. Complete range of board, card, ttrpg, and models for gamers of all flavors. A community institution, you owe it to yourself to drop by.

I practically grew up here, haha! Great place, friendly people. One of the few Third Places left in the world these days. I'll have to stop back in next time I'm in KY.

The Scabbard is a great little treasure trove of miniatures, games, and TTRPG supplies. Also a great place to find some out of print books, miniatures, and other hard finds.

Ever since I can remember the Rusty Scabbard has been a great store to patronize. A friendly atmosphere, large selection of merchandise. And there's usually a game going on! Andy and his staff have always been helpful and friendly.

My friends and I took a trip to Lexington to visit a couple of game shops there. When visiting The Rusty Scabbard, my friends and I were mainly looking to expand our miniature collections. We were blown away by the sizeable collection of both unpainted and fully painted minis that, while prices my vary depending on size, were not only affordable but diverse in brands and types. Not only did they have classic enemies, such as dragons and beholders, but they also had tile sets available for purchase.

The shop keeper was very personable and was a joy to talk with. They ensured our transaction was swift and painless.

Always a pleasure to go into this community shop where the games are endless and the employees are passionate. They spent 20 minutes helping my girlfriend and I pick a good dice game and I ended up leaving with 100$ of games. The old lady is a bit stand offish but overall a great place will always go back.
