Always a welcoming environment here and today was no different! Shawn Michael Michael Shawn legit always cheers up my day! Excellent service from Mr. Vazquez too in the cafe area!!! The scones here are amazing and their tea and coffee is made so well every time! Their turmeric Lattes make a great spicy warm beverage and their board game rentals are such a great way to test out a game and enjoy the atmosphere to its entirety! I would recommend renting a room for a couple hours too for an exclusive experience within the cafe. Gluten free options are delicious and fluffy muffins and the blondies are amazing as well! Can’t go wrong with any day of the week and David makes the environment feel so inviting alongside all the rest of the staff! Frequently coming here for the past 9 months and will continue to come in for a place to disconnect from work and stress and reconnect with my inner child and fun!

This is the best local game store I've found since moving to Connecticut. The staff is very friendly, events are always big but not too big, and they really prioritize rewarding community involvement over everything.

The owner is very welcoming and eager to teach you games that you might be interested in. The coffee and hot chocolate bar is fantastic and you can sign out boardgames to take home!

Friendly environment for casual and competitive tcg and board game players. Staff is helpful and engaged and show great enthusiasm for the games the store supports. Free play is scheduled several times during the week, as well as tournaments with great prize support. Frequent purchases are rewarded with a point system that allot discounts on future purchases. I hear they also make a great cup of coffee.

A wonderful local game shop with the friendliest and most helpful owner. Friendly for this newbie getting into my first TCG, will definitely be back for more!

Great staff, excellent selection of products, good prices, good promos, active Discord, friendly community, all in a unique space (basically 2 joined spaces, a coffeeshop w/ play area and a retail space w/ play area).

I haven’t played a TCG in years. Coming in to Unison brought back so many memories from my youth that it urged me to get back into Magic the Gathering. Store has a great collection, amazing space, and fun engaging community. Look forward to seeing what this spot brings to the community!

Really cool shop. Very focused on the community aspect. Superb blends of teas and coffee made exactly the way you like it at a fraction of the price most baristas would normally charge. I highly recommend the Dante's Inferno as an iced coffee. It's the only thing I've been drinking there ever since I tried it for the first time. There is a shop in the front part that has a selection of various supplies for TCG players as well as board games and table top games. This area has a couple tables usually used by TCG players. There are private rooms available for rent as well, perfect for those looking to run tabletop games or just a quiet place out of sight and out of mind. Personally, my preferred area is in the rear end of the store (giggity). Here, there are numerous tables as well as a board game Library. These board games are all available to rent for a nominal fee, with varying discounts available if one enjoyed the game enough to purchase it. This is also the area where the cafe is located. I cannot stress enough that one has to try one of the various brewed beverages for purchase. For those looking for a non coffee or tea option, there are various other beverages available for purchase as well, of note especially is Foxon Park, a sure sign of taste for local business. For those with a sweet tooth, there are excellent baked goods available for purchase as well. Rumor has it that there may be a deal in the works with the infamous and incredible confectionery institution itself: Neil's Donuts (fingers crossed!) A buddy of mine and I were just there today to play board games and enjoy caffeinated beverages, as we have been for the past few Saturdays. Our last game of the evening was nearly complete when we had noticed that it was closing time. Rather than hassle us to hurry it along or wrap it up, the owners gracefully allowed us to finish our game in peace, a gesture that was very much appreciated and unfortunately not common at most game shops in Connecticut. While not as heavy in TCG inventory on hand as some other shops, the owners are more than happy to order whatever you need. Plus, they do have a rewards program beneficial for repeat customers. All things considered, this is a shop that I recommend to anyone that is looking for a venue that is truly for the gamers, the gamers. I will continue to bring my business here for the foreseeable future, and hope I see y'all there!

Awesome community with great coffee, tea, snacks, and pastries! David and Michael Shawn are awesome owners who are super knowledgeable about everything they sell and play all these games themselves! They have fostered a great shop with a cool vibe - Commander Thursdays are always packed, and the shop discord is always full of people just planning to meet up to play with. I've made a lot of great friends here in the Mtg community, but it's clear that the dragonball, Pokémon, flesh and blood, dnd, board games, and everything else have an awesome group here too!

An absolutely splendid LGS. Huge diversity of product in stock (games, packs and singles) and sold at fair prices, events and tournaments almost every single night, and the owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the product being sold (it is not uncommon for him to take a break and sit down for a game or two with the players). The community there is wonderful as well. I came in as a player new to the area, the game and the format and everyone went out of their way to include and explain rules to me. The owners also support and amplify independent game designers, helping them realize and play test their product because they understand the value of introducing new ideas into the space and making sure they are viable.

Unison Games Cafe is the peak example of an exemplary location and service operated ethically and with priority placed on fostering a community and generating interest in games of all kinds. I hope to see other LGSs follow their example.
