Cafe Bunn Mi

Clean and inviting interior. Friendly staff and the food was excellent. Grilled Pork Bahn Mi sandwiches had great flavor, although the bread was a little tough for my taste everything else was delightful. Spicy fries were really interesting and tasty. The Imperial egg rolls were perfectly fried and had good taste and texture with just enough crispness! I'm looking forward to going back to try the garlic noodles!

Update 11/27/24 tried the Garlic Noodles with grilled pork and it was excellent! Pork was a little fattier than I like but the flavor was amazing, and the garlic noodles were spot on.

This was the best vegetarian pho I have ever had. The broth was rich and flavorful. The fried tofu was yummy. The noodles were chewy. Personally, I would have preferred smaller carrot chunks, but everything else about the soup was overwhelmingly positive. I would come back again any day of the week.

Arrived when they opened, service was friendly(they were already taking calls for pick-up) and service was quick.

Ordered the Garlic Noodles w/Shaken Beef, the garlic noodles comparable with Teng Longs noodle(maybe even better).

The Fish Bahn Mi was amazing, large portions of breaded fish filet, crisp but not over cooked. The Vietnamese Ice coffee may be slightly smaller than some places. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in coffee strength.

This is a wonderful place to go for a 1st date or 10th date, with its coffee house atmosphere and food (without the pretentiousness of a Teng Long or at times Ben Tre).

Yum! The grilled chicken here is juicy and delicious. Grilled pork is sliced thin and still good but not as good as the chicken.

While I don’t eat meat, I can’t speak to the meat options here, but the vegan /vegetarian (if you add aioli) options here are OUTSTANDING!!! 10 thumbs up for both the Smokey Vegetable and the Buddha tofu banh mi sandwiches.

The level of thoughtfulness and the amount of flavor I experienced in their vegetarian banh mi’s are unparalleled. Most banh mi places simply fry tofu and drizzle some soy sauce. This place has a whole medley of flavors, creating a complexity I can’t name, but thoroughly enjoyed. I will make this my go to every time I have to fly out of SFO I will pick up sandwiches to go. Their Vietnamese coffee is great too. Sometimes I’m tempted to try other things but I keep going back to the sandwich because it’s just so darn good. The shredded veggies and the delicious flavors inside the crispy fresh roll just makes an astounding combo. Far better than any other Banh Mi place that I’ve tried.

Delicious! One of the best banh mi I've ever had! I had the grilled pork one; my friend told me the crispy duck is really good too so I'll try that next time! Great toasted bread, with delicious meat and counter balanced by the pickled veggies - so good!

I travel to this area for work on occasion and this is my go to. Super friendly people and the food is great. The spicy fries LOAD up on the spice! I've tried almost all their banh mi and they rock!

My wife and I tried this for this first time today and really liked our food. The garlic noodles with five spice chicken was delicious. Throw in a lemongrass steak or five spice chicken bahn mi sandwich and you can’t go wrong.

Back again. Tried the 5 spice chicken salad. Still 5 🌟.

December 2017: tried the pho. Was very good.

Enjoyed the grilled pork sandwich. Delicious!!! 🍞 was fresh, airy and crunchy. Spring rolls were super fresh.

The garlic noodles are to die for. Some of the best food in town.

Went to the restaurant because my Sister said they have good sandwiches. They were EXCELLENT!! SO TASTY!! The bread was fresh and so we're all the other products. I have been looking for a sandwich shop like this one for a while. Finally,I found one. They are one of the best I've ever had and it's local. I WILL be back!!

Wow, I'm blown away. Wasn't expecting much going to it, but the cafe does everything on point: tasty Vietnamese drinks laid out on a cooler, big hard-to-miss menu board, clean interior, great food. The food was great. I had a bowl of their beef special pho, but everything that came out of the kitchen looked gosh darn delicious. Definitely a great spot for lunch or dinner

We loved it! Vegetarian pho was wonderful with flavorful broth. Veggie rolls also delicious. We are flying out of SFO tomorrow and it was a perfect pre-airplane meal, nourishing and tasty 😊. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere

I love this place. This is the place to go if you want a banh mi that has multiple options for protein, and tastes better that your average banh mi.

A client recommended this place to me so I went right after my meeting. I was pleasantly surprised with Bunn Mi. They had my favorite dish on their menu (garlic noodles) so I was sold. I ordered the 5 spice chicken sandwich and the garlic noodles. WOW!! The sandwich was amazing!!! I almost busted through the kitchen demanding that they give me their recipe!! The flavors just plan in your mouth and those garlic noodles were equally as delicious and flavorful. I live in the city and I'm already planning over coming back down here next week for lunch. Keep up the great job Cafe Bunn Mi!!!

Wow. This place is great! Clean and tidy, organized, friendly staff and a huge easy to read menu that explains all dishes without confusion. Staff had big smiles and friendlier service. Thai iced tea was great, highly recommend this place.
