The Schiitr

The Schiit lives up to its name (in the best way possible) for audiophiles. From the moment Will, the friendly host, greeted me with a coffee offer, I knew I was in for a treat. Their dedicated listening room is a dream come true –– I could test out all the Schiit gear with my headphones thanks to Will's expert setup for easy switching. The only snag? They had no in store stock and so I was unable to purchase the Bifrost 2 64 and Mjolnir 3, which would have been an instant purchase for me. Minor inventory hiccup aside, The Schiit is a must-visit for serious audio lovers. Top-notch service, fantastic listening space –– what more could you ask for? (Bring in-store stock back)

I recently discovered this gem. I used to love travelling around to visit audio stores, look at the cool gear and listen. Now all the audio stores are gone. The Schiitr brings all that fun back, but a much cooler and chill atmosphere than the stores of past. Friendly staff, really good coffee, and great sounding gear. Only complaint is limited inventory on site for impulse buy. You have to order it online. Their shipping is not cheap, store pickup is free! I have made 3 recent trips to pick up stuff (no fun at 4:30 PM on I-405) and will make more in the future. Looking forward to this years new releases!

This is a fantastic spot. I already own Schiit product I love and went to buy more. Turns out it’s a showroom/demo lounge now, which is just a brilliant idea. I had the most blissful two hours I’ve had in a long while. The guy who works there, Will, is just a right on guy too. 10/10 recommend the spot and the products.

Met with Lucky at the store and walked out with a Loki even though I didn't plan to buy anything. He wasn't pushy at all, I just didn't know about the product but saw it there and thought it would be fun to play with. Amazing atmosphere, speaker room was astounding. It's such a cool place, it's hardly even like a store. It really feels like someone just invited me to their house to check out their Schiit. All the artwork was really cool too. 11/10 experience!

Awesome, go there and try out all the amps and headphones to your heart's content. Staff is super nice and free coffee. I bought modius and magnius same day to replace my old sound card. Cant wait to go again.

This store is the shining example of why we still need brick and mortars. Excellent staff. Not pushy with the sales crap, just left me alone with my music but periodically checked on me to see if I had any questions (I did, many).

Plenty of headphones to sample including the hd800 which I was very interested in. There's also a great speaker setup in one of the rooms. They have all their schiit amps and dacs for all types of setups. Bring your pair of headphones in and see if an amp or dac is worth it to you. It might not be, and they're fine with that. It's a relaxed atmosphere with no pressure. Free coffee and stickers too!

At the end of the day I walked out with magnimodi stack. A month later and I'm still loving it and it's working beautifully with my new hd600s.

Do yourself a favor and at least check the place out. It really is something special.

Really great vibe! Sure there's a railroad track across the road and the restaurant next door is playing ambient music, but frankly it just adds to the charm... and the WOW factor when you hear some of the equipment on display, because all other sounds just stop mattering.

The staff member on hand was pretty knowledgeable and super friendly. Good coffee, too!

Fair warning: if you like personal audio, you may very well spend 4 digits before you leave! (That Lyr+ is sooo good)

A very nice audio showroom with a well curated selection of music.

I made a special trip to look at, listen to, and buy a Schiit Freya + preamplifier. Of course the rumor has it that Schiit makes great gear in California (and Texas too) and the Freya did not disappoint.

The unit came with a full 4 tube compliment, but it turns out that a moderately weird obsession with 6SN7GTB tubes meant I had plenty in inventory.

After a few moments for the tubes to warm up the amp came to life and sounded great.

My listening habits skew towards low level listening (just above the tinnitus), so any noise annoys and there was a low hum coming from the Freya's transformer. Not uncommon in IE style transformers, but not ideal for audio.

I contacted the Schiit support team and we were able to swap it out with a quiet unit w/o tubes. I saved some money not having to buy superfluous tubes. (Russia grrrr)

Major props to Will at the Schiitr for helping me straighten things out and for a follow up phone call to ensure everything was groovy.

Oh my goodness. I know it isn’t THE reason they’re called Schiit but one listen to their equipment will have you exclaiming “HOLY SCHIIT”. Do not listen unless you want any other source of audio forever spoiled for you.

The place itself is ridiculously welcoming and all around awesome.

Stopped by on the rec from a friend. SO GLAD i did. What a great atmosphere and vibe. Will was manning the shop (helping a customer trouble shoot on the phone) when I walked in. In just a few moments he had me sized up (noob dilatant who was just dipping toes in) and pointed me in the right direction. No sales pitch, just passion and knowledge. Had no intention of buying anything, just wanted info. But I walked out with exactly what I needed.

It's really a one of a kind place where you can really relax and focus and massage your ears with some Schiit. Also, recommend to Bring Your Own Cans (and source of music if you want), but if you don't have it with you, they have some you can use too.

Unique place where you can try out their gear with your own headphones. While online reviews are useful, everyone's hearing is not the same. I recommend bringing your own headphones so you can decide what sounds best for you. They do have headphones you can borrow. The guy who works there is super nice and very knowledgeable. He didn't try to sell me anything, just answered any questions I had. I definitely recommend dropping by there. They have some outstanding amps and dacs that sound as good as stuff that is much more expensive. The free coffee is good too!

This place is amazing! Doesn't matter if you're into high-end gear or just getting started (like me), this place and company is a treasure to have as a local resource. The guy who runs the store is totally cool and i wish i could have spent more time chilling with him. I will definitely be back soon but support small businesses and Made in USA 🇺🇸

We love our headfi, but we don't built our own gear. We leave headfi to the pros.
Running ZMF Blackwood cans is a challenge when you want a compact desktop system. However the Jotunheim does a great job, and I'm confident the DAC upgrade will kick things up a notch.
Caitlyn Harbottles new DAC will no doubt level up her office work experience too in building playlists for our customers to enjoy.

Now to the company.
We have built a reputation of building extreme high performance speakers and top of the food chain by being diligent.
And Schiit is no different. I made an honest mistake on my order (but still it was my error), and they corrected my order while waiting for FedEx to pick it up. Granted I had to do the leg work and reach out, but they still helped and made sure my order info was accurate.
That means something. It's valuable. It's endearing. Because this is what I do for my customers.

If you want an audio company that is behind you, you do have to engage and play by the rules. And when you do, you will see the immediate return.
This is my experience with Schiit from a manufacturers standpoint. As customer I'm grateful, and as manufacturer I feel comradery and fellowship.
