Kobans Restaurant

We found Koban’s while searching for good pierogies near Niagara Falls. What we found was that everything we tried was so far beyond good! We started out with cheese & sauerkraut pierogies, which our kids loved and gobbled down quickly. We followed with Buffalo wings, which were perfectly crispy with a light, flavorful sauce and amazing, substantial bleu cheese.

Our son ordered the lasagna with mushrooms, and the piece almost overflowed the plate! Our daughter ordered a chef salad and the French onion soup, which had a deep, savory flavor and thick, chewy & crispy cheese. My husband ordered a double helping of the meatloaf special, which was the ultimate comfort food plate with green beans and mashed potatoes on the side. In the 21 years we have been married, I think he has asked for a to-go box fewer than 5 times, but he needed one for a good bit of food he couldn’t muster. I had a spinach salad with the house dressing, which didn’t contain sugar and was a delicious, tangy mustard-flavored concoction.

Our server, Mary, was an adorable, precious lady who made us feel like we were visit family for dinner and catered to our every need with her sweet & clever disposition.

Our only regret is that we can’t transport this amazing restaurant home with us to Georgia! Would give 10 stars if I could!!!

This was my first time at Kobans; and I have to say that out of all the places I've been to they are the absolute best.

Everything was fantastic. we were greeted right away and seated just as quickly. The staff was super friendly and worked well together. The menu had plenty of options for everyone. Our server was fantastic and she made a great wine suggestion for us, which went over really well.
I heard great things about Kobans perogies and so we had to try them. I can't even describe how good they were. I will never be able to go back to prepackaged perogies.
Then we all had the fish fry. I am a VERY picky person when it comes to fish. Kobans totally nailed it.

I could go on for pages about how great everything was.

let me simply say that you will not find better service or better food anywhere else in the Falls.

All of the food was cooked to perfection, the service from our server Mya, the other servers and the bar tender was great and their wine went great with the food. We had the grilled haddock, NY Strip, fried shrimp and fried mushrooms.

Small, comfy, clean. Great service. Large menu. Had the breaded fish fry, soo good!! 8 of us for dinner, not one complaint about any of the meals. Except, maybe, the butter for the bread was straight out of the fridge hard, so not ideal for buttering the bread. Will be back, soon.

This is the best broiled fish and big bake potato!!!
Service was just right.

Back again......9/15/19.... If you haven't been here give it a try. If I didn't live out of town we would be here often.

French onion soup... hot & tasty😋

Very homey atmosphere and great waiting staff. Had the most delicious french onion soup and salad with homemade dressing. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone staying near here during their trip to Niagra Falls.

Delicious food here. The pierogies are definitely worth a visit. The service was great and very accommodating for a large party. They handled us great and French onion soup was pretty awesome as well!

WHERE DO I START?!! Great staff, always friendly, awesome delicious food and warm inviting environment. They helped me get my moms wheelchair through front doors, cleared a path for her to get to tables and treated us all like family. I was very impressed and touched by their warmth towards my mother especially. It's not easy for her to get out and about, so going out for dinner is a real treat for her. She really looks forward to coming here. Thanks guys!!

This place is family run and a hidden gem in Niagara falls. Great service and excellent old school food. Homemade Italian and polish specialties. Great steaks and prime rib. This restaurant has been here as long as I can remember; it's not trendy and I love it. Very clean and the way nice restaurants used to be. You can be comfortable in a sportcoat or jeans here.

Such a wonderful place. This is a hidden gem of Niagara Falls for sure. The atmosphere, food, and service is excellent. I recommend the steak and fish fry. Mary was our server. She was friendly, prompt, and she made our dining experience much more enjoyable. If you come here request to sit in Mary's section. You won't regret it.

Picked up dinner tonight. We had a fish fry, shrimp dinner and of course perogis. The food was awesome and we will for sure return again. Sometimes its not possible to find a good fish fry.... we for sure did. Thanks Koban for a great experience

Fantastic dinner destination in Niagara Falls. If you want to eat where the locals eat come here and stay out of the high priced tourist traps! Quaint, older charm with great service and fantastic food. It was so good we went two nights in a row. First night we shared the NY strip, pierogi's, garlic bread, and the French onion soup. Steak was requested medium rare and the chef nailed it! One of the best steaks I've eaten. Pierogi's we're large and delicious and the soup was as expected, cheesey, savory and quite good. Second night we enjoyed the Polish platter and the Snowball for dessert. The platter is a large dish with large portions and if you finish it you'll push away from the table knowing you accomplished something great! Filled with potatoes, pork chops, veal, and more that I don't remember. All I know is I left satisfied! The Snowball dessert was a nice finish to the meal that we split. Vanilla ice cream rolled in toasted coconut and covered in hot fudge. It's simple and delicious! Prices are very reasonable considering 2 miles away all the "chain" restaurants are charging 2-3 times for lesser quality food. Finally the staff is friendly and caring. Natalie stood out as our waitress the first night and the hostess the second night. She listened to all our questions, made great suggestions and filled us in on some local information. We never had an empty drink nor wanted for anything! Kobans is a gem and if we lived there, we'd be a regular customer. Make sure you plan to stop by if you are visiting the falls, it's definitely worth the short 2 mile drive.

LAZAGNA it's meatless just to warn you, I am mostly vegetarian so I loved it but regardless it had tons of flavor, get the fresh (they are not canned I asked and could tell) mushrooms too if you like its optional. Going back asap! Everyone else ordered different things and a huge group had no complaints only compliments

Absolutely fantastic, food was so good! Prices are very reasonable and the portions were huge. Waitress was great. Would eat here every time.

Still soo good ! Everything was on point what a great meal its been a while since i was here last. Strip steak was cooked perfectly , cheese and spinach perogies to die for ... Italian salad dressing was classic warm bread and the best french onion soup.
I cant wait to go again . One of niagaras best kept secrets .

Amazing family restaurant. Scallops and Shrimp and fish dinners are outstanding! That's not all they have. They have a full menu of equally awesome food! Something for everyone!

Best fish fry I think. I love the fresh chowder and pierogies. Always a good variety of options for dinner. Portion sizes are perfect.

Parodies on Friday are outstanding!
Prime Rib on Saturday's are pricy.
Steaks, Italian Cuisine and dishes are far to none. A great place to dine!

Such a nice place with friendly staff and good quality food that's home made. Ambiance is very homey and intimate. Quiet and enjoyable.
