Krista gave me the best haircut! They are a great communicator and the whole experience was lovely. They gave me the opportunity to ask any questions about my hair and gave me some tips on what could help. I also got my eyebrows waxed by Maisie and that was a great experience too, my brows look so good! Every appointment at heyday has been excellent. I highly recommend this salon, it’s beautiful, good vibes, and the people are great. Thanks all!

Socks did an amazing job cutting my mullet! She made sure to ask lots of questions about what i wanted done with my hair. Ive had issues finding someone to cut my hair for the last 2 years, happy to say i finally found someone i want to cut my hair regularly!!

EDIT: i recently went to get to get some color put into the mullet! It came out so vibrant and i love it!

I was super nervous about finding a new stylist after moving to Portland, but I couldn’t have asked for a better fit in Georgie! She does such a fabulous job with color and helped bring my hair dreams to life in a super collaborative way. Her scalp massages are also THE BEST. Would highly recommend for anyone seeking a gorgeous cut or color from a rad human in a beautiful space!

Carrie is amazing! I walked in without an appointment, really needing some pampering and a haircut. She had a stacked schedule and found time to squeeze me in, THE SAME DAY! She was so attentive to ensure that I had the best time during my hair cut. Incredibly professional and kind! I love my haircut and will be going to see her next time I need a cut. Highly recommend!

Charleigh (they/them) is *amazing*. Wizardly at color & style, good at listening, technically excellent, & overall fun to work with. Plus eyebrows & other stuff if you need it. A+++! Charleigh now has their own room in the salon to work in, nicely appointed & quite comfortable.

I've been going to Georgie for a few years now and she is THE BEST. I first went to her 4 months before I was due to be in a wedding. When we first met, my hair was swamp monster green and by the time of the wedding it was a very pretty ashy blonde. Georgie is amazing with coloring and the cuts are always cute. She's helped me dye my hair various shades of pink, peach, blonde, red, and most recently blue. Highly recommend going to see her.

Keisha Hall is my go to hairstylist, I have never gotten so many compliments on a haircut in my entire life. She is incredibly versatile in her skill set. I have very long thick hair and she always gives excellent advice on how to manage and style it.

10/10 would recommend.

A few years ago, my mom and I wandered into a salon (as I was in dire need of a haircut) and found ourselves in the exceedingly capable hands of Charleigh.

Throughout the years, I’ve continued coming to Charleigh for hair styling services on account of their impeccable attention to detail, exceptional hairstyle insight/advice, and of course, their lovely, thoughtful, kind demeanor. I’m not big on hair maintenance, but they always manage to style my hair in an elevated way that leaves me feeling refreshed. Sometimes I feel as if they’re able to envision exactly what I want before I know myself!

If you’re looking for a new hair stylist or to simply change it up, go see Charleigh - you’ll be so happy you did.

Identifying as NB can make it difficult to find a hair salon that feels comfortable. Krista made me feel right at home immediately and transformed my hair to a style that FINALLY feels like me. I’m so grateful for them and trust them completely with my hair. The only “down” side is that EVERYONE KNOWS IT! So it’s difficult to get an appointment. I live in Salem and drive all the way into town for an appt with Krista. They are awesome, easy, and anxiety free!

Charleigh is an absolute delight and master stylist. I moved to Seattle, and still drive back to Portland to get my hair done by Charleigh.

I followed Charleigh from their old salon in downtown to Heyday Salon and it's been a wonderful switch up. Charleigh has alway done impeccable work on my hair. Whether it's been going all over blonde, blending out my roots so that my grow-out looks intentional, cutting my extremely thick and wavy hair so I don't have the dreaded triangle head, or a thorough consultation to accommodate my hair vision with my budget reality. Charleigh is an excellent listener and true raconteur with an ease about them that feels like catching up with an old friend.

I also prefer the new salon's set up and location. Not having to plan time to find and pay for parking downtown is a blessing and while the lack of gratuity feels odd at first, it's a welcome relief from the tightrope walk of tipping generously for quality work and not blowing all my expendable income.

I cannot recommend Charleigh highly enough!

I got a color & cut from Georgina who is absolutely amazing! Georgina brings her natural talent for being creative & painting to her coloring technique, and I’m always so excited afterwards! Not only is the service amazing, hanging out & talking with Georgina is fun as well 🤘🏽👽🍄 highly recommend!

I saw Georgie here a couple weeks back. She gave me a root touch up and trim for my platinum blonde hair. She did such an amazing job. My hair feel so healthy and looks amazing. Please check her out you won't be disappointed!

This Salon is a definite 10.The atmosphere is very calming and serene. Georgina gave me a foil and a cut and I couldn't be more pleased. She is definitely skilled at her craft.The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to getting some waxing services. Highly recommend

Carrie Darnel does a wonderful job as my hair stylist. I've been going to her for more than a year, and am always happy. I like her so much I've referred several people to her, and they have been very happy also.

There's parking out front and in the neighborhood and the salon feels inclusive and welcoming. I have seen two people at Heyday and both put me at ease immediately by listening and being receptive and adapting to sensory sensitivities.

I have seen Georgi a few times now. She transformed my boring hair helmet into a wonderland of vivid sunset streaks with movement. She cuts, she colors, she styles. Usually, I leave a salon and can never get my hair to do the cool things the stylist did, but Georgi gave me advice I could actually follow. Strangers compliment my hair and friends say it really suits me. She's equally cool with me being introverted or geeking out about nerdy stuff. She is artistic, neurodivergent friendly, tells stories, and is basically just an awesome person.

I also saw Joanna for skin/lashes. I have sensitive eyes, and she darkened my eyelashes WITHOUT irritating them. She also gave me a glycolic peel that made my skin glow.

Just visited for the first time on Tuesday and had such a wonderful experience! I had an appointment for a new client hair cut with Charleigh Sheffer and was so impressed by their knowledge and skill. They talked me through every decision, letting me know all the options for my hair type and goals. I love the cut and already booked some other services with them as well. I have already recommended Charleigh to my friends and would highly recommend booking with them to everyone!!
