We loved the food! I got the Monte Cristo and it might have been the best one I've had in years. I drank OJ with it, and it was tasty. The service was great. The place was very clean and there were plenty of seats available. I will absolutely be going there again when I'm in town. ❤

I had not been to Milo's in years. It is still the best hollandaise I've ever had. Warm, familiar faces and attentive service is a lovely bonus. I will most definitely be back for the delicious food! Don't sleep on Milo's. Y'all get in there

Milo's City Cafe offers a wide variety of mimosas and build your own Bloody Mary. Their menu has all your breakfast classics and unique variations for the person who likes something a little different. Their scones are fluffy like a cross between a muffin and scone. The lemon curd that comes with it is mild in flavor and tartness. They also have a great cup of coffee and fantastic service. Give it a try. We ordered quite a bit to try a variety and can say, anything you get is sure to be delicious.

Really enjoyed breakfast there. The food was good, was very full when we left. Loved the potatoes (could have done without the grilled green and red peppers on top). The biscuit was a little different, it had a hard crunchy outer, but was still tasty. The service was excellent, our waitress was nice and friendly, and did a good job keeping our coffees topped off. It wasn't too busy, was able to get a seat right away.

My wife and I stopped by today while walking on Broadway looking to eat breakfast and instead of going to Cadillac Cafe like we usually do, she suggested that we try Milos City Cafe.

What a pleasant surprise and great food!

We were warmly greeted by the waitress and even the owner himself, Albert Escobar came over to see how we were doing and offered us a refill of coffee.

My wife ordered the Blackstone Benedict and thought it was delicious..she mentioned that it had a lot of flavor and the plate was very complete..

I ordered the Traditional Benedict and our order came very quickly!I felt my plate was very complete and eggs were cooked correctly and the Hollandaise Sauce was savory and served hot..plenty of flavor, the proportion of home-style potatoes was also a plus, not too much, not too little, also cooked to perfection.

Waitress asked us if we wanted to add Avocado and we said “sure! why not?” and it just added to the overall breakfast plate..we were not concerned about extra cost.

We felt the staff was very friendly and attentive, our coffee had great flavor and was served hot and owner Albert offered to top us off..very nice.

In terms of price for our breakfast plates, it was very competitive as to what Cadillac Cafe was offering for the same breakfast..we felt it was a good value as compared to other restaurants.

The ambiance and decorations are a little different from Cadillac Cafe but we think the food and attentiveness of the staff more than made up for any difference.

Get ready for some great, hidden, surprises on Menu as well..considering the owner is Peruvian he couldn't help throw a few extra items on the menu that are a real delight and come from Peru..we tried the “Inca Kola” and Alberto generously offered us a taste of the drink “Chicha”, a common drink straight out of Peru, a very pleasant, refreshing drink..free of charge..

We also noticed that customers are a mixed bag of types in the area.. there are retirees from Irvington District, middle-aged men, workers and even some 20-something types eating there. Very good signs that this restaurant and its food appeal across all demographics.

Many times it’s those little details that separate the average restaurant in Portland from the rest..caring, attentive staff, hot and flavorful breakfasts and attention to detail.

So, we would highly recommend trying Milo's City Cafe under its new ownership whether you’re a local, neighbor or from out of town. Don’t forget to say “Hola” to Alberto, a Peruvian immigrant working and living the American dream. Provecho!

They are under new management and it's amazing! The atmosphere has changed, as well as the artwork on the walls. The menu is mostly the same and thank goodness for that! The mushroom soup is out of this world and I can't recommend the eggs benedict options enough! Great staff, great food.

We were delighted to see Albert at the helm when this beloved anchor of the block reopened after the pandemic. Staffed with welcoming family members and friends, with ever expanding offerings, Milo’s is well worth the wait at busy weekend times (late morning-early afternoon) The fried oyster sandwich is a festival of tastes, textures. Unctuous, creamy, and delicately pan fried, these treasures of the sea are served with tartare and lettuce on a soft bun. Just right.

I’ve been going there for the better part of 15 years and they are as good as ever. Still the best hollandaise. Perfectly poached eggs. The Monte Cristo is back on the menu and as good as ever. Here’s looking forward to another 15 years.

The Chicken and waffle was great! I had a latte that my waitress made as well and it too was really good! I'm not from the area and found this place on Google maps and I was not disappointed 👍

Phenomenal food! Picked it randomly and was 100% satisfied. Great price and service. I will be back soon to try more of their creations. They had more of a fresh fusion menu than "cafe" selections.

Went for dinner and it was so good. No wait and the first bite of food took my breath away it was so good. Got the chicken tinga tostadas and hot damn. That was amazing. Update: went back for brunch and, once again was blown away by the taste of the food. Got the vegetarian eggs benedict and was very pleased.

Wonderful service and delicious pancakes. Was visiting from Texas and had this place bookmarked for a post-flight meal. Our waiter was friendly and energetic. Everyone wore masks and the seating was appropriately distanced. Cool area too. Will be back!

Great place for breakfast and mimosas, the Eggs Benedict and pancakes are both amazing choices. A little spendy but very much worth the visit.

Not only was the food delicious and the service impeccable, I lost my very expensive retainer and I left a note with the staff that on the off chance if they found it could they call me.

They called me the next day and literally saved me $1,000! Albert was a great server during and after our meal.

Go eat here! Honestly! The staff is incredibly friendly and the food is heavenly. As a foodie, Im not picky about that is in my food just the quality of it and this place blew me away. I had the salmon eggs Benedict with house coffee (great quality) and water. Perfection. So glad I stopped.

Delicious, real food, cooked quickly and served warm, but be prepared to wait. This is a busy Cafe with lots of people meeting for enjoyment and the pleasure of each other's company. The servings are generous, the bacon is delicious, and while the menu has a few basic options they're well-prepared. I noticed most of the customers had extras like mimosa's or orange juice. The scrambled eggs are tender and fluffy and not too greasy.
