Chef's In Downtown Cafe

We were in town visiting family. After church, they brought us here to eat before heading back to Missouri. Parking was a challenge, but our 4 vehicles managed to find spots, and we met at the front door. The buffet style made it quick to get our food and get seated. There was only a small line when we arrived, but with the crowd, we were not able to find a table to sit together and ended up at 2 tables back to back. The food was good and reminded us of Mama's cooking. The bathrooms were small and not able to handle the crowd. We had a good visit, and our family met people they knew. This is a great place for families to eat.

Good Home-cooked food. Everything was delicious. The waitresses were friendly and always there to refill our drinks. Their peanut butter pie is to die for!!!!! Love this place!!

This is absolutely the best home cooked plate lunch/ buffet in the whole area. Everything is homemade, and you can tell.

The food is great and the staff is very nice, the prices are reasonable! The dressing is delicious...almost as good as my Moms! The restaurant is very clean!

The Cheffs In is the best place to eat in Jonesboro hands down! Great food, great atmosphere and EXCELLENT service!!

The food, oh my gosh, the food! From the fried pork chops to the peanut butter pie and chocolate cake and all of the mashed potatoes and green beans in between, it was excellent! The pork chop was literally falling apart as I was putting it on to my plate it was so tender. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious throughout. The only downside is that it gets packed quickly and is only open for lunch. That's probably because the food is so good. So, get in early if you go.

Best home cooking anywhere! Different options daily. Large variety of vegetables and desserts, plus salad bar. Best ever chicken and dressing and Mexican chicken casserole. Their cakes are always fresh and moist. Husband loves their pork chops, pork steak, and fried chicken.
Plus we sit in Marsha's section and she is awesome! She goes above and beyond seeing that we always have refills and anything else that we need or ask for! 🥰

Sunday lunch is always good at Chef's In. Today's menu was sauerkraut and polish sausage, meatloaf, fried chicken, pot roast, all kinds of desserts and white beans and ham.

I don’t leave many reviews but I just had to on this one. The best food I’ve had in a long time served Buffay style. Everything your grandma used to cook and more! Everything is seasoned perfectly and taste so good! The lady’s who work there are absolutely angelic. 5 Stars!

Food was amazing as always! Super busy as expect on a Sunday after church. Line was outside, but didn't wait longer then 5 minutes to pay and start making a plate. Think there are 4 rooms to choose from at least one of the rooms has an open table at anytime. Staff always friendly as ever! They are always working hard trying their best to please everyone!

Very good food, reasonable prices. Buffett varies by day of week, so check the menu for that day. Fried pork chops were awesome. Opens at 11 and gets crowded quickly.

The food is always so amazing and the atmosphere is so welcoming... If your looking for a buffet this is a good place to go the food is always so hot and fresh...

The buffet was wonderful today! I highly recommend the lunch buffet, especially on days when they have chicken and dressing. Today, as usual The dressing was perfectly seasoned and there was plenty of it! They also have pies with no sugar added so folks with diabetes or weight issues can choose healthier options. In short, I highly recommend it!
