Comfort Inn Troutdale-Portland East

This was not our first stay here. We have had multiple great experiences here. The rooms are clean, well supplied and very comfortable. The breakfast is very nice, many options and very tasty 😋. The staff is extremely friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. Definitely our go to in that area.

As a long time employee in the hospitality industry I feel confident in my across the board 5-star ratings. It is rare that all phases of hotel management-- front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance-- operate at peak professionalism, but that is indeed the case with this hotel. I have stayed here many times and will continue to do so in the future.

It is truly a shame I cannot give more than 4 stars to this hotel.

From the time we arrived on the 23rd to leaving on the 25th there was truly nothing I could have asked more for.

From the check in and the incredibly friendly desk person to the maids and the breakfast staff everything was incredible.

The room was spotless as were the halls and elevator. Nothing was out of place.

... and the breakfast they offered? Anyone who might opt to find a restaurant rather then eating at the hotel simply is looking to waste money. They offered 3 different kinds of cereal, yogurt, all kinds of bread and various muffins, 4 different choices of juice, sausage, eggs and 2 different kinds of waffles ... all in a sparkling clean area near the front desk. Add in 3 different strengths of coffee and tea and there simply was nothing left to the imagination ... and it was all hot and fresh.

We will use 'Comfort' Inns going forward.

I come to Portland about once a year. The staff here (Especially Aimee) made a potential bad situation absolutely amazing. I live on the road and though a little dated, this hotel was one of the cleanest I've been in as well. If staying in Troutdale, stay here.

This stay was during the recent Great Freeze that we had; the rooms were spotless, the bed was comfortable, and I love that they give each bed four pillows (seems like most places never give you enough). The GM, Donele Fowler, was absolutely awesom; she was very helpful and was always willing to go the extra mile when she could. She made the stay more pleasant. I did not like the "sheets" that they have, but that is probably just a personal like issue on my part. Thanks, guys!

Their beds are by far the comfiest! We love getting the 2 queen 1 king suite! Always very well priced too!

Had a very pleasant stay. The Staff, Price Complimentary Breakfast, and Central location to Portland was great. Even ended up staying an extra night at the hotel...

Nice place with a nice staff. It’s not a luxury hotel by any means, but it’s a good value and good location.

Excellent Comfort Inn but very expensive. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Very clean, no complaints at all. Breakfast was pretty standard but was good. I felt safe at this location, but they do lock the front door during the night and there's a sign on the front door saying no public restrooms. That's probably because on the other side of the freeway are truck stops that attract a lot of unsavory people.

The staff was very accommodating to our needs and Christina helped us out in the morning and she awesome and can't thank her enough. The lady working the evening before when we rolled in was wonderful also, (don't remember her name). I always use Choice hotels when possible and they were able to make it happen for us.
Very nice Comfort Inn with good breakfast, we slept great after a very long day of driving.

5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Service! We arrived just hours after my husband had knee surgery and found our request for easy access, and extra pillows was fulfilled! There was also a sweet note, a gift bag of goodies and a bottle of Gatorade and Sprite waiting on the bed. I cannot tell you what it meant after a long day. We just needed some sleep before hitting the road home, and this meant everything. Clean, comfortable and caring staff. Thank you for going above and beyond! ❤

Great stay for the price and area. Had to stay here during the blizzard and both Cat and Chrissy at the front desk were amazing. Super helpful and accommodating in the middle of the weather disaster. Customer service was the best part, breakfast wasn’t half bad either ;)

Great hotel for something quick & affordable!! Staff was outstanding and the greetings from Tuck (front desk “ guard” puppy) made it that much better!! Highly recommend!

We stayed here overnight for a concert at McMenamins Edgefield. It is much cheaper to stay at the Comfort Inn than at McMenamins, and from what others say, much quieter, too. It is VERY dog-friendly with a nice pet area out back. From there, you can hike along the raised path that runs behind the hotel, going north to open fields and a nice hike along the Sandy River.

We found it comfortable to walk to McMenamins Edgefield to get to the concert, and then we caught a 77 bus ($2.50) to get back to the hotel - which saves on the mess of concert parking and waiting to drive out after the show.

The staff were super friendly and helpful and the free breakfast options were surprisingly good. It's safe to say this hotel exceeded our expectations and we had a great time there.

This Comfort Inn is perfectly located as the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge. The rooms were very well laid out and the front staff was very helpful, giving us ideas for hiking. Made a DQ run too!

I really enjoyed my 3 day stay. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to meet each lady for each shift. They were really nice. I’m a platinum member because I choose comfort inn mostly for my stays. They remind me this weekend why I sways choose comfort inn. Hotel was really clean with a clean atmosphere. Overall, I am happy to have spent my money here and will know where to come next time I’m in town. Lots of Uber eats choices around. Really fair prices on snacks and drinks. I got two different rooms during fly 3 days stay and both were spectacular. If you like clean places and friendly faces, this is the hotel for you.

Stayed 3 days. We got late check out. Has a spa, no pool. Wifi works well. Breakfast was yum!!! Waffles flavors change. One day was yummy Cinnamon Roll... so good🤤🤤🤤!! Next day was blueberry, it was ok. Then the next was pumpkin spice. All were very thick when dispensed. They also had regular waffles & a full hot breakfast! It's been a while since I actually ate the breakfast! Beds are very comfy.

Stopped at this Comfort with our two kids. The staff were very helpful. Great customer service, breakfast was very good. Conveniently located next to the freeway, so we were able to continue on our way fairly quickly.
