Maggie Mae's Bookshop

Maggie Mae's is my favorite bookstore hands down. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, there is an endless supply of books and gifts, and it feels like you belong there the moment you step inside. They are always willing to order random books I need and they make great recommendations. This is so much more than a store, it's a magical place that caters to people of all ages. I always walk out with a new pile of books and a smile on my face.

Maggie Mae’s bookstore was something our Gresham community needed. I have been a customer and friend to the shop since it opened. And just love the new, bigger space. The events and friendships and books shared over the years is something my family will always remember. My kids attend a book club with the owner and they really look forward to that. They say Sho is a cool adult cause she’s friends with kids. We love this place!

A true gem of a bookshop. My ordered arrived quickly and package so nicely. My little one was so excited for the new books. Support small businesses - especially ones that do the extra for their customers!

This book store is simply the best! Their book selection is amazing (and they can order pretty much anything you need), and their sticker selection can't be beat, plus every single person who works there is just the bee's knees.

What an improvement over the previous location! We drive over an hour to come to Maggie Mae's. My kids just love this place.

Book stores like this one should be in all communities.

Best independent book store around! Sho, Alyse, Jordan, Alexis and Amy are some of my favorite people. I love that I can order any book I’m looking for through them. The special events they host are delightful. I always look forward to the paint nights and book clubs!!Thank you for being so wonderful!

Great new location! Very well laid out and welcoming. It just keeps getting better and better! Lots of events on the calendar for many different interest groups. Not just a bookstore, but a good place to find gifts too.

Had a fabulous baby shower in their rental party room. Lots of books for kids. Super relaxed and comfy.

If I could give a 12/10 I would. It was like walking into a SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR. Cherry yet homey this place has it all! Staff picks proudly displayed on the front wall, a mystery date with a book section, and cozy reading nooks to lounge while finding a new book! They have many classes for kids and social events and the best part?!?! There is a Store mascot! This American Bulldog will steal your heart! Nothing better then finding a new book, petting a dog and being greeted by the amazing owner! ❤ Will 100% be back!

This is one of my favorite places. The staff is wonderful, kind and never fails to brighten my day. If you're looking for your next great read, you're guaranteed to find it here along with wonderfully whimsical treasures for all ages. As a wheelchair user I often feel cramped in bookstores, but here there is plenty of room to wander. There are also plenty of cozy nooks to hangout in, and no shortage of fun, inclusive events to attend. I wish I would have had such an accepting, safe place to frequent when I was young. Every time I come here I leave feeling just a little more whole than I came in.

Oh my my! The new location is so amazing and whimsical! It's such an incredible space for their events. There's a used book section and a reading nook. I just love it here!

We love Maggie Mae's! It's the cutest bookstore. We recently rented their room for a birthday party. Not only was it super affordable, it was spacious and a ton of fun! Highly recommended.

Brought my 11 year old grandson in, and he purchased 3 new books. I also found a lot of beginning reader books that I can use with 2 - and 3 year olds. A plus is a new series that both my grandson and I can enjoy. Bonus is one of the books is signed by the author.

I love this shop so very much! It’s my favorite store to shop for books and unique gifts. Prior to the pandemic, I loved taking my daughter in to choose a new book. Now we continue to find new favorites by ordering online and picking up our order curbside or having it delivered. They also have in store appointments and walk-in options. I appreciate that they offer different options for families’ needs! The staff is always so helpful with any questions or shopping help. I started my holiday shopping early thanks to Maggie Mae’s, and I know I’ll be ordering again soon! We’re so lucky to have this local bookshop!

Wonderful selection of children books along with a few curated shelves for grown ups, too. Friendly setting and always willing to provide personalized help - I’ve sent DMs asking for recommendations and have been very happy with the response. Kiddos have enjoyed the in store activities and consider it a treat when we visit. Couldn’t recommend Sho, Elise and Maggie Mae’s any higher.

I love that we have this kind of bookstore in downtown Gresham. Great selection of children's, YA, and adult books. And lots of other fun items like stickers, puzzles, and mugs.

Our favorite book store ever!! My son and I love to reserve private shopping times to peruse safely. They also special order books for me all the time and have even delivered books to my house for free! They offer special birthday shopping reservations now, curbside pickup, a monthly book subscription service, and books/gifts for adults as well. Love this place and the awesome owners!
