Holgate Baptist Church is the first church I ever set foot in the state of Oregon, back in 1981. Holgate is a church where the entire Word of God is proclaimed, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are worshipped, and God's children work together to bring glory and honor to the name of Jesus. This church loves God, His people and welcomes any to come and join them as they worship and serve the Lord. I was a stranger, but was treated like family since my first visit 33 years ago. That same spirit of God's love still thrives at Holgate today. Come and see!

This is a wonderful church. They believe the word of God is authoritative and inerrant. The pastor preaches directly from the Bible with an excellent sense of humor and real life applications that make the Bible come alive for the listeners. In this world where so many people comprimise on the text found in God's word, I'm happy there are still places like Holgate Baptist in Portland, OR.
