The books store is way bigger I thought. They have a Huge selection of older and a few newer books. I will definitely be going back there when I have more time.

Cool old bookstore in downtown Ft Smith! We found it on Google and stopped by 15 min before close so we didn't have too much time to look but we will be back! A massive selection of vintage and current books in just about every genre. You have to be willing to browse and wander b/c there is a lot in a very large space. There is even a room full of National Geographic magazines dating back to the 1920s. The lady at the register, the owner I assume, was kind and helpful. They take cash or check only. Prices were pretty good. Most paperbacks I saw were 50 cents to $1. A must stop for book and antique lovers!

This is a very old bookstore and I mean that in the best way possible. It's quiet, it smells like dust and old paper. It's BIG and has national geographics for the last 60 years. I hope this place never closes. There aren't many places like this left in this day and age.

Drive-by and window gazing only now; it's deep with plenty of volumes of what has to be an interesting compilation of books galore in there! It's had my browsing section up front ready , mini lil reading couch and it's own area ,to boot

I am a lover of books when I first arrived in Fort Smith I couldn't wait to get there I originally
gave three stars for 2 reasons no credit cards accepted and because I was shocked that they charge just less than full price for the books (whatever the full price on the book was at publication- they give you a discount off of that price!)
I recently UPDATED
to five stars***** because this is an awesome place to spend some time and get the books that you want. She has everything!
I did end up spending $30 but I could have bought a lot more books somewhere else for that amount of money; considering a lot of the books I bought were from the seventies old textbooks and writing guides. if you're looking for a book I can promise you this, you will find it here.
It's very organized and very neat.

Go there you will NOT be disappointed and you will find what you're looking for.

I needed a Gift for Christmas & I called to see if they might have the book. Very friendly & helpful. I'm disabled & have great difficulty walking so She went & grabbed the books for me so I could choose which one. Then I mentioned 2 others I was interested in & she went & Grabbed those as well. Lovely place
