Hammontree's Grilled Cheese

Cons:
1. Paid parking, and it's hard to find a spot, and that was on a week day before the dinner rush.
2. The music was so loud, thus making conversation kind of difficult.
3. We were seated up front, so we staid cold due to the draft from the door opening with customers.

Even with the cons, we would most definitely eat here again! The food was amazing, and my daughter, 6, and slightly picky best friend enjoyed their food. My daughter cleared her plate and tomato soup. I got the Bries Company, and my only complaint about it was that I felt that the apple slices could have been a little thicker. They got kind of lost in the rest of the sandwich. I also got the Crawfish Bisque with my meal. It was very good, and the crawfish ratio was balanced, although my brother had it as well, and he said his didn't have enough (maybe I got his, ha!). It had a moderate heat to it, but nothing too spicy. We got dessert, which we usually don't do, and we were NOT disappointed!! If you are debating about dessert, just get it and share, or don't because you won't want to after the first bite!

Went there for lunch on a weekday and there was still a waiting line. My wife and I waited for avout 10 minutes before a host came and added us to the waiting list, however we didnt realize there was an online way to pre-register so the whole time we waited, people were already reserving spots ahead of us. So I was kind of annoyed.

Luckily. The food was so delicious and the vibe on the patio was so nice that I completely forgot about that inconvenience. The food was definitely worth the price. It's not expensive, bit it's by no means cheap. They use good ingredients, and cook the items correctly so the flavor and value is there. I would go back, and now I know how to get myself on the waiting list, I won't be annoyed again!!

I never in my life dreamed a grilled cheese sandwich could be so delectably delicious. From the perfectly toasted bread down to the ingredients between flavorful melted cheeses, any sandwich on this menu will send your taste buds into a frenzy. I highly recommend the Gouda Bacon Sweet Potato Fries accompanied with Avocado Ranch for dipping or drizzling. Something about that combination just hits the spot. If you're going for the full experience, then make sure you try the Blueberry Grilled Cheese for dessert. You won't be disappointed. Hammontree's Grilled Cheese was a wonderful experience while making a visit in NW Arkansas. I will be back again and look forward to trying something else as I found it difficult to choose the right sandwich. The selections would suit any pallet.

Nice grilled cheese restaurant right off Dickson. Our waiter was very friendly and checked on us just the right amount.

I split the Gouda - Bacon Fries with someone and even though I don't normally like sweet potato fries, they were really good! I also got The Scarlet Cheddar for my sandwich and it was pretty good.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and overall I had a good experience. The food might be a little overpriced, but still worth checking out.

This is a truly special sandwich shop. The sandwich was amazing. The bread was so soft and crispy. We ordered a ozark monte cristo with fig jam and a caprese. I never thought I’d be saying this, but this is probably the best grilled cheese we’ve ever had in America by a country mile.

Very impressed! Usually grilled cheese sandwiches in restaurants are super greasy and have way too much cheese for my taste, but theirs was perfect. The tomato soup and potato chips are also perfect. I like the warm, funky ambience of the restaurant too.

We went twice recently. Waiters Drew and Keeton were awesome. Big variety on the menu, and so far everything I’ve had has been yummy. Especially love the “East of Edam” sand and wonderful sweet potato fries. Patio dining appreciated. Ready to go back any time.

One of the best sandwich shops in town! All of their mixes on a grilled cheese are incedibile! The place has some great decorations around too for the sci-fi fans!! Great staff and quick service’

What a fun little stop after shopping for books! Our family enjoyed the Gouda and Bacon Fries as an appetizer which was delicious.

I opted for a half sandwich (Brie sandwich with Crawfish bisque) and cup of soup and it was more than enough and absolutely tasty.

Love the decor and ambiance with the retro film/movie touches. We will absolutely be back!

DELISH!! I’ve never had a bad sandwich here. They even changed my mind about not liking Monte Cristos! The staff is always friendly. I highly recommend trying them out again and again!!

This place is great. Tons of options for grilled cheese. Very good soup options. The bread they use is outstanding. Service is so friendly. Fun location. Just an all around really good spot.

I will be thinking about the Brie’s Company sandwich for the rest of my life. My server recommended bacon on the sandwich, which was a solid call. It was so good! My server was kind, helpful and expedient—I lament not remembering their name, but they were terrific.

Food was incredible, our server Ace was phenomenal, and the pterodactyl overhead added the perfect touch. Got the Cheebacca sandwich with some tomato & basil soup and it was some of the best I've had in my entire life. Interesting, fun, and all delicious menu options. Don't skip on this place!

My favorite place to grab a tasty meal. I tend to frequent the bar mostly, so I’m always taken good care of by Eric or Hillary. Today there was a slight hiccup with an ingredient being out of stock and Hillary went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I always look forward to my next visit!

I ordered the Ozark Monte Christo, our server recommended I try it with a side of fig jam and I am so glad I did. It was delicious, the jam complimented the sandwich well. I did find that the powdered sugar was too much for me so I scraped the excess off, and I wish that the jalapeño breading had more of that jalapeño kick… otherwise the sandwich was great.

Oh my goodness some of the best food I’ve had in a while!!! Their appetizers were amazing and the sandwiches and soup were perfect! Will be returning the staff was all so kind regarding my food allergies! A must especially if you’re pregnant and craving tomato soup and grilled cheeses!!!

Very delicious food! I got the Brie’s company grilled cheese and tomato basil soup and both were amazing. The pina colada was very good too. Definitely coming back!

Best grill cheese here—- the turkey burkey add tomatoes, mayo, jalapeños and spinach with extra house cheese.. thank me later

Stellar spot with a great variety of melts and gorgeous hot dogs.

The grilled cheeses and melt are homey feeling with just enough craft to make it a bit artisan. The sourdough bread isn't the naturally leavened crusty variety, but no complaints. Cheese options are varied but familiar. The hummus and pita are absolutely bussin, don't sleep on that appetizer. The sweet potato fries are also some of the best you'll find. Thin crispy and sweet.

All and all, a great experience with fabulously attentive staff and great prices.

Crazy to think I’ve been eating here for a decade now! Most places in Fay have either closed, changed the quality of their ingredients, or began overpricing their food once they gained popularity. Hanmontree’s stands out as phenomenal example of how to be successful and still keep your customers happy. Will always be my first recommendation for visitors and while I’m no longer a local myself, I’m always happy to return here every time I visit as well. My favorite sandwich is the Ozark Monte Cristo, but I have yet to try one on the menu that isn’t delicious!
