Eastern Oregon Fire Museum

This is the old fire station converted into a museum. They have five old firetrucks on display, as well as picture and item displays. The trucks are very cool and the workers are great to let your kids climb up on them for photo opps. My two boys, 3 and 1, loved it.

There is no charge for admission, but donations are encouraged.

Lastly, they may have hours posted online and even on the door, but those hours are from when the Chamber of Commerce was tenant there. It is now available only when someone from the fire department makes a special trip to open the museum for you, so I recommend calling in advance so they can be prepared.

So disappointing to come into La Grande on our way home SPECIFICALLY to see this museum with our 6 year old grandson, only to find that it appears that it is no longer open AT ALL. ☹
