Good shopping store. Great produce and meat sections. Prices and selection same as most stores.
Great pharmacy, pharmacists are very helpful and knowledgeable

Great as always. Not even very busy at 7 pm.
Pharmacist helped me when I had a seizure, ironically after getting my seizure meds. He was right there and called my wife before I was even alert.

Honestly impressed with the local Safeway. The store is always clean, well stocked, and the staff at the deli and self-checkout are always attentive when needed.

The associates in the deli were super helpful I love the food highly recommend getting the lunch deal, super impressed with the service I received!

I have never had an issue at this location! During this shopping trip we went to the floral department.
Sadly, the old florist isn't there and all the cut flowers and all potted plants looked sad. Especially the potted plants. Very under watered

Has everything you need, great meat, good produce. Quick meals, ready made food for grabbing.

It has AMAZING food but no clothes, which is fine. I used to work there in the bakery, and I've learned a lot of things 😊

I give Safeway a 5 star rating for their produce section, love their bakery, and the people who make things happen back in pharmacy.
... Oh and who wouldn't like the buy 1 get 1 free in the meat dept? Or buy 2 get 3 free of this or that throughout the store?

In produce you can find your favorite regulars or organic, great fresh meal kits (they put togher to keep their customers healthy and going), and various exotic fruits (YUMMY).

The Pharmacist truly go the extra mile and for awhile understaffed. I don't know how they did it but they did (coming back every day with a smile and ready to go.

Always very clean and beautifully stocked. With starbucks and the deli directly inside one door and the florist directly inside the other, you begin and end your shopping experience on a good note and the pharmacy staff is so wonderful, they take the time to get to know their customers by name.

So good! Pretty sure we tried the entire lunch menu. Big portions, super tasty, great service. Perfect if you're passing through to or from Portland.

We'd ordered 23 pounds of prime rib for a family dinner this weekend. Dave T personally prepared the prime rib, added extra touches and had a big smile on his face when we came to pick it up. Dave took extra time to discuss preparation and carving tips. The meat was superior quality and prepared for the ease of cooking and serving. The customer service was exceptional. We love our La Grande Safeway store!

This was my first time to this Safeway store. I went in to get a case of water. Some of the employees were stocking shelves like the produce department and the dairy department and some of the grocery department. Plus it looked like the pharmacy department was getting a product rearrangement. Went through the self checkout because it was faster for me. The store was very clean and only one employee said hi to me as I walked the whole store. This is a very nice store.

I know where everything is. Lots of parking. Great service. The bakery always has something fun for everyone. And the meat department is very helpful. Even will tell you the best way to prep the meat for the best flavor and proper cooking.

Absolutely grateful to this store. My 5 year has Autism, dosen't talk and has from small to large out burst. ALL of the employees just smile at us young or older dont matter. There's no judgment, no weird looks and the customers are all usually older people and they are just as nice. My son loves this place. It gives me chance to teach my son how to buy food and behave in public. Thank you Safeway!! for your kindness year round!!

Picked up a few things we needed for our rv travels. Bbq'd steak for dinner.

I love Safeway . They are great at customer be service and honestly there meat department is one of the best I've seen . Every time I ask someone where something is they take me to it instead of Walmart who may point you in the right direction but you still may not find it. They are great at helping the kids still in highschool have jobs to help in getting them ready to be adults . Way to go Safeway I will always go there before anywhere else in town

Always clean with good prices. The layout is very nice and it is consistently less crowded than competing stores in the area which makes for a better shopping experience. We appreciate the gas rewards.

I have always loved the personal service of Safeway. Prices are very fair and they always seem to have good sales for everyday items. And they have enough cashier's and box persons for the level of business because they staff appropriately based on previous business

Great customer service Safeway is a fine to hurt the store to shop at it is slightly expensive but never ever do self checkout if Paulette is watching it she watches you take out your groceries and scan everything wait till you leave the store pulls the receipt and chases you out to accuse you of stealing and then after she's proven wrong does not apologize rather embarrassing for her
