They were kind enough to assess my vehicle despite having multiple appointments coming up within the next hour. It was luckily an easy fix! We were in and out in less than 30 minutes! Good prices and the most kind staff! Definitely eased my worries having my car serviced by you! Thank you again!

Beyond grateful to have found La Grande Auto Repair before leaving town. My brake pads were long overdue for replacement. Thankfully, this awesome family owned business took my car into their shop within the same day and changed out my brake pads. They provided me honest and fairly priced feedback unlike commercial auto shops who try to up sell me everything.

Top rate!!! I can't say enough great things about them! My daughter and I were driving to Virginia from Portland and our air conditioner went out 30 miles before we hit LaGrande. They were the one garage out of the 4 that we called that would help us. They got it fixed and we were back on the road in a couple of hours. And, everyone was soooo nice to us. They shuttled us over to Starbucks so we could wait in a comfortable place. La Grande Auto Repair saved our bacon and I hope you let it save yours! Thanks again!!!

Passing through on a roadtrip and our car starts shaking on the highway. They’re fully booked for 2 weeks out but Joe said I could bring the car in first thing in the morning and he would take a look. Turns out it was a broken axle and they had my car repaired within an hour or 2. This shop went above and beyond to help get us back on the road and for a very fair price. Thanks Joe, Rochelle, and the rest of the team, you guys really saved our skin!

Let me just set the scene by saying I don't live in La Grande. I was visiting my sister when my car broke down on a Sunday. I was able to get it towed by Rock and Sons (fantastic tow company) to La Grande Auto on Monday where they so graciously were able to get it diagnosed. I was kind of a pain, in my opinion, because they weren't able to get the part until Tuesday and I was a stress case. They figured out what was wrong wasn't actually what was wrong and despite my harrassment and even sitting in the shop, waiting, they got it fixed Tuesday. And they were so so busy. If I ever find myself in La Grande, needing my car fixed again (so help me god, I better not), this is where I'll go and I'll reccomend everyone go! Thanks JJ & Joe & anybody else who put up with me for the two days I was there!

My daughter and I traveled from the Willamette Valley to La Grande on a Sunday evening, ending with a shaking car and a check engine light on. First thing Monday morning we arrived at La Grande Auto Repair stressed but hopeful that our car could be repaired. We were greeted immediately, with a quick offer to check out our car. Joe the owner was conferred with and he personally talked with me about possible solutions. He offered to loan us a car to get to the Eastern Oregon University campus for our tour and meetings, while our vehicle was repaired. We were able to make it to our appointments and the car was repaired in a timely manner. The cost was very reasonable. The consumer service we received was Phenomenal and extremely personable with each person we encountered at La Grande Auto Repair. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into something positive.

We were traveling from Boise, ID to Seattle WA and our van started having some electrical issues and we were stranded in La Grande. Thankfully we were able to find La Grande Auto Repair! Even though Joe already had a busy schedule he prioritized our van and was able to quickly locate an alternator in town, have it installed, and get us back on the road. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the service from him and his team of mechanics. They were fast and thorough! Thank you Joe and team for everything!!!

Joe was absolutely wonderful and we are so thankful for his help. Driving from Idaho to Salem on a Sunday, we developed a terrible noise -- we drove to La Grande Auto Repair, as it was listed as opening the earliest on Monday and thought we would have to spend the night there and miss work on Monday. But it turns out Joe was working on a late Sunday afternoon (you know you have someone good who puts in weekend time). He was on his way to dinner, but told us he'd come back afterwards to help us - and he did! He quickly diagnosed the issue and helped us get on our way again - and wouldn't even accept payment for his help. Joe, we are so grateful and impressed. Can't recommend La Grande Auto Repair enough!

While on an extended trip, my check-engine light came on. I called and they told me to come in early the next morning and they would run the diagnostic to see if it was a serious problem. When I arrived in the morning, they quickly ran the test. It turned out to be very minor and reset the light. They would not charge me or allow me to leave a tip.

Had an engine misfire crop up on a long road trip, they got us in the shop first thing in the morning and got us back on the road in no time! They also were incredibly accommodating for our dog. All in all, they're incredibly customer service oriented for a very competitive price.

I had them fix an issue I had with my 20 year old car - a headlight/turn signal switch that was not working. Short version: all of their staff did a good job for a reasonable price. But, I want to specifically mention a few things. First, I tend to troubleshoot a bit myself. I discovered this issue when I got pulled over for no headlights on (near dawn) even though I had them turned on. I tried replacing fuses, didn't fix it. I brought it to them, and told them what I tried and what I observed (new fuses, taillights but no headlights, etc). They took the time to listen. As someone who troubleshoots (usually IT problems) I really appreciate that, and know it probably saved me money I would have paid for diagnosis. I have a busy work schedule and I have to drive between Baker and La Grande on the weekends. They did a great job work around my schedule (long hours) and car needs and I REALLY appreciate it. They had a distributor get them the wrong part mid week, and their office staff worked hard to try to get it there on time for the weekend. When it didn't pan out, they got everything back together and gave me it back for the weekend. I dropped it off Monday, the correct part showed up, and I think it had it back Monday evening then got it all fixed the next week with the right part. After all that (extra office hassle and re-assembly labor) they didn't charge me extra. I know they have bills to pay and would have understood if they charged more labor for having to take it apart and put it together twice, but they gave me a break - same price as if their distributor had given them the right part and they had it all back together at the end of the week. I know their mechanic and office staff both went above and beyond because of their distributor's mess and I really appreciate their hard work!

Grandsons car broke down in La Grande. These guys fixed it for a fair price and did a good job. If recommend them to anyone.

These guys were so helpful and courteous in fixing my brakes! The brakes were very messed up and they fix the problem quickly. As a woman, it was a very inviting atmosphere with no dominant, condescending male interactions. Would recommend.

We were passing through on our way to Colorado and were having truck overheating issues pulling our RV.
Great service from start to finish. They got us in first thing in the morning. Even from the phone call to troubleshoot the problem was great. Greeted by a cheerful front desk lady, Joe spent time just sitting down with us talking about how to avoid overheating issues. Showed us the problem with a clogged, dirty radiator. Fast, quick, but thorough service. Thank you all. 👍

We were coming from Paul Idaho to Seattle pulling a car hauler and had problems with the truck. We took a shot and stopped and talked with these folks. They were booked solid and still took a look at the truck and then took time out of their busy schedule to do the repair and got us back on the road. Drove straight back to Seattle without a hitch! These guys are top notch. Great people and great service. I highly recommend them!
