Gresham Memorial Chapel

During this very difficult time for my family the staff made us all feel comfortable, listened to, and they showed the utmost compassion. We needed a simple direct cremation and they were the most straight forward and cost effective of any funeral home in the entire east county area. No high pressure sales, no surprise fees, great communication. Highly recommended.

I think saying Loved it on a Google review for a funeral home is kinda off... I can say all the staff we had contact with was professional. They were not all smiles and bobbles, it was for a funeral. I think demeanor of the staff was appropriate. The price for the services offered was second to none. They really can do as much or as little as asked. I would say the only negative is the out dated decor of the facilities. But on the other hand it was fine for the price we paid. Andrea was really helpful and she did on more then one occasion offer condolences, as well as she was really great about giving us the time we needed for our questions. She never pushed us to do or buy more. Honesty Andrea was great at her job and as much as I hope I never need her services I would not hesitate to use them again. I have the utmost respect for what she and her staff do and they do it well..

Gresham Memorial Chapel did a great job helping and accommodating all our needs for our mothers funeral. John was very straight forward and open with us. He did not pressure us at all and even went out of his way to provide us with a special package deal. They stayed longer the arranged time and gave us all the tools me we needed with our mom. Overall they went above and beyond what we had paid for. They even took all of or flowers to and from the memorial services. The price here is unbeatable. We got the same service for 1/2 the price of any other memorial home if not more.

We are so pleased to have chosen Gresham Memorial Chapel for our Memorial service, they were so helpful and kind to us at such a difficult time, I would diffidently use them again and recommend them to friends and family! We also attended a Candle lighting last night at the Chapel, it's only been 4 months and didn't know if I was ready for the emotion of something so new! I am so grateful I attended it was so special! A special speaker and wonderful music and loved the candle lighting!

We keep coming back for family burials throughout the years. Just recently we've done a basic cremation the other a full package burial. They were excellent both times and very knowledgeable.

As someone who has worked in long term and hospice care, I would never recommend Gresham Memorial Chapel to anyone in need of funeral or cremation services. From the moment we go there my family was treated in a cold and unfeeling manner. Not a single member of the staff offered condolences for our loss. The staff's demeanor only got worse as we began to experience problems. The specialized memorial I ordered and paid for was not delivered, nor could anyone at GMC find a receipt. While my sister was there to pick up my father's cremated remains, the staff ignored her for more than 15 minutes before finally addressing her and telling her there was nothing they could do about my lost memorial. When I called to ask for a replacement memorial, the staff told me I would need to bring my receipt to their facility as well as my father's remains. I told them I thought it was horrific to cart his remains all over town due to their mistake, and asked for a refund instead. They told me I still needed to bring my receipt to their location. I instead asked if I could email them a copy of the receipt. After waiting on hold for more than ten minutes, I was given an email address to send it to. I emailed the receipt and promptly received a delivery failure notification as the email did not exist. I am STILL waiting for a return phone call about this issue.

I would not want to work with this company under any circumstances, but especially when a family is going through a difficult time.
