Dr. McAlister has practiced for over 40 years. Our patients are the most important part of the McAlister Dental family. We offer a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
We are not a scripted office. Our doctors and staff are dedicated and take the time to talk with each patient to answers all their questions regarding their own personal needs and treatment. Fees are discussed prior to treatment as our office works diligently with insurances and patient finances to help ensure no surprise billing. We love what we do, and we’d love to be a part of your continued oral health journey.

I do not have pleasant memories of the dentist growing up, scaring and trauma thats not necessary for the context of this review. Instead I want to give praise where praise is due. If you are looking for a great dentistry with a wonderful crew, who you can confidently trust to take care of your family's needs for the health of their teeth, McAlister T Kerry DDS will exceed those expectations. I communicated my fearful disposition of returning to the dentistry and my trepidation of letting anyone near my teeth again, and they approached it with the utmost delicacy and care to reassure and comfort me. This gave me the confidence to return to them for all my future cleanings and the continued health of my teeth. 10/10 Highly recommended!

I absolutely adore Dr. McAlister and everyone who works in the office! Everyone in the office is so kind and great at what they do and makes sure every patient feels calm and comfortable as procedures are done. I personally love the Christian music being played as it is both soothing and a beautiful way to share the gospel. I really adore this office for this reason as they use their private practice to witness to every patient they have! I’ve never had a reason to complain as the staff has always been so great and kind and Dr. McAlister always does a beyond great job :) I actually get excited to go to the dentist, which is not something hardly anyone can say!

I have been a patient of Dr. McAlister in his Huntsville office for a few years and now see him in Fayetteville as well. It had been well over 15 years since I had seen a dentist because of some bad experiences as a child and teen but Dr. McAlister and his staff made me feel calm and took care of me well. I have sensitive gums and have never left sore because the girls are extra cautious. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else.

Dr. McAlister is great. I had a chipped tooth and the staff was quick to get me in and get me fixed up. Everyone is so sweet and the whole process was simple. They went above and beyond to make sure my insurance would cover my procedure. Definitely recommend 10/10.

I absolutely adore this dentist and their people. Each and every time I go, they give me plenty of options to work with, always make sure I’m leaving happy, and my teeth are always healthy. A even bigger plus is that the workers are even sweeter than their work! It’s like making new best friends- they are so kind and fun to be around. I’d recommend this dentist to everyone!

Melanie and Dr. McAlister did a fantastic job taking care of cavity fillings - however, billing is not handled correctly. I was charged $150 before my fillings were handled because they thought my primary and secondary insurance wouldn’t pay for all of it by the end of it. They preemptively charged me for an “estimate” before the claims were even sent off, instead of just $50 for my deductible and allowing the EOBs to determine patient responsibility as is standard practice for any business that files medical/dental insurance claims. I have NEVER been charged before a procedure if I didn’t have a copay and before EOBs sorted out what the patient responsibility actually was. I didn’t owe them $100 in the first place (again, this amount should be determined by the primary and secondary EOBs, and hasn’t been finalized yet). Their billing specialist was out of office until Thursday (this is also a position that should have at least minimal coverage when someone goes on vacation) and after I called earlier she came into the office “just to talk to me”. Again, that shouldn’t happen at all if someone is on vacation, because their base role should be covered, and I also don’t need the guilt trip. The billing specialist (Jamie) began to talk over me on the phone and raise her voice to further insist that they were right to charge me $100 over my deductible based on an estimate, and it’s just not normal or professional for a medical office to do business this way. She said if I wanted to file my insurance claims myself to prevent further “back and forth” that I could do so. I was not ugly, I was not rude, I did not curse, and there shouldn’t have been “back and forth” at all. In the adult world you should expect to be held accountable to do your job correctly, and you should expect questions if it’s not. Telling your patient to do it themselves is sorely lacking in the aforementioned accountability. Another less than positive note is the evangelistic Christian music playing throughout the building. I brought headphones to my cavity fillings and left one earbud in, but I could still hear it and it’s not appropriate for a medical office of any kind to be playing religious music. It is offensive and ultimately alienating to any patients that practice their spirituality differently - nobody should have to sit there through your religious music while they are getting their teeth worked on, which is already a stressful process. I also don’t need to hear about church choirs and activities while I’m in the chair being worked on. Overall I would not recommend this dental practice to anyone, which is a shame because the dentist and supporting hygienists are great at what they do.
