McCrae's Country Cafe

Hubby and I decided to stop in for breakfast since we hadn't been out in a while. Last time we came here, we got the chicken fried steak, and it was so good. Hubby got it again! The full size is huge and could feed 2 people easily. I got the full 12 egg Denver omelet, and I couldn't finish it, but It will be a great lunch as well . I love this place for a nice big breakfast and would recommend 1000%

Food was delicious! I had my food within 5 min! And my waitress was so friendly! I fully enjoyed!

We visited a half hour after opening and it was wonderful basically whole place to ourselves and the staff was attentive as usual regardless.
Very nice people who work here and the food is great. Big big portions. When you do go and it's a full house I've noticed sometimes the portions fluctuate because I imagine they are working faster but always good food and good people here.

Went here for breakfast when our usual spot was too busy. So happy we did. Great food, fast service. What really stood out was the way everyone worked together to make sure customers were happy. Nice work McCrae's. We will definitely come back to you!!!

Possibly the BEST breakfast I’ve had in years. Hash browns crispy as requested, eggs perfectly over easy, ham was HUGE, portions HUGE. Bring your appetite, you’ll leave happy. Greeted immediately. Sit where you like. Greeted by all waitstaff. They work well as a team. Large dining areas, very clean tables, silverware, and condiments. Spent $14.95 plus $5 tip. They serve a wide variety of breakfast dishes and they all looked large and good as they served other tables. Five Stars+ Check out the photos!

Delicious food. Service was quick and accommodating. Small dining area, so may have to wait when busy, but the small-town feel right in Gresham is super nice. Definitely be back here when back in town.

Oh. My. Goodness. I wish there was more than five stars!! This secret gem is so warm and inviting especially for those with anxiety! Huge plates of food! Price is beyond reasonable for the quality and quantity!

I love this place. In the past, I got their chicken fried steak. I thought it was a manhole cover it was so big. You could eat half, and still have 1 or 2 meals out of it.

It is a clean, homey place, and it seems to emphasize its small town roots framed thru an early 50's breakfast joint. Some of the art on the walls shows the connection to the community.

It sends out soft drinks in Mason jars, which I love. The silverware all matched (for some reason it's an indicator for me of the quality of a restaurant.

I'm not a big coffee drinker, but the Mrs. is, and she said it was a good cup of Joe.

I had a porkchop with my meal yesterday. It was butterflied, and cooked perfectly for my taste.

This place is breakfast/lunch only.

It's Achilles Heel is how popular it seems to be. Service time and food quality are hurt if you go after 8-10 am, so beware.

If you go early, it's awesome. I gave it the rating I did for the time I went (6:30 am). YMMV depending on time. I would rate it lower if it had been later in the day or on a weekend.

Maybe it's a staffing issue, but it is a small place, so I cut them some slack.

All told, a quality meal at a competitive price. Service could be better, but I think economic factors hinder them. Just expect it to be a factor if you go late in the day.

What a great restaurant. The service was excellent, the wait time was short for our brunch to get to our table, and the atmosphere is lovely. A nice spot to have a meal with either your grandmother❤ or bring the family, they have more seating. The decor is great and has you looking at all the pictures. May become a regular spot for us. The menu has a lot to offer and can't wait to try more things. Oh, and the marionberry syrup.... AMAZING! Highly recommend on anything. I dipped my bacon😄

You absolutely must come hungry when joining them for breakfast. They do not mess around. They're servings are enormous and they will definitely fill you up for the entire day! Service is great food is great everything about it is great!

I enjoy this restaurant, The staff are always nice and the service is always good. Looks like they made improvements on the inside which looks great and much cleaner but I have always enjoyed going there.

This was my first time coming in and I've passed by it for almost 30 years. Now I'm wishing I would have come here so long ago. Service here was hands down the best I've had in a very long time, I came in on a Sunday around 11am with my family and they were pretty busy but the genuine smiles and greetings were very welcoming. And the attention to customers was top notch. I've been a cook for 11 years and I would like to applaud everyone there. Thank you for being such. Wonderful people. Oh and the food was great as well. I got biscuits and gravy. Huge portion. And very tasty

Such a family oriented restaurant! Service was friendly, attentive, and very welcoming! They offer full and half order and both are generous plating. This place is a family favorite and the food never disappoints.

If you are looking for a delicious breakfast this is the place to go in gresham. This restaurant has been here for so many years I can't really tell you how many years but it's been there a long time. That way you know it is a good restaurant. Our food was delicious and our waitress was very attentive to us making sure our coffee was always nice and warm and we enjoyed our visit.

McCrae's was great. From the moment we arrived, the employees were very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. Their ham with the breakfast is huge! My husband and the guys dine here a lot and always have a good meal with good service.

Some of the best service I have received. They were busy but the staff did a great job of making rounds. Portions are great and good honestly breakfast.
