Website says the Springdale office opens at 7. The note on the door says. 8. After standing in line for over an hour outside, a lady came out and said it would be 9. Since most people now use the web for information, the Assessor's office should make sure the website reflects current operating hours.

Rude, Rude, Rude! Had a terrible experience with an individual who is employed here who was unable to provide me assistance regarding the legality behind taxing an active duty military family who does not maintain a domicile/legal residence in Arkansas. She seemed to be unfriendly and unwilling to listen to my situation from the moment I was transferred to her. I was essentially curious as to why we are having to pay personal property taxes on our two vehicles when U.S. Code Title 50 should exempt us from said tax since we have no legal residency in Arkansas. Had to go through three different departments of the state to find my answer and all three agreed that we should’ve been assisted by this department in Washington Co. a little better. Not only was she unhelpful, but I felt like I was being ridiculed for asking this tax-related question. I got off the phone with her in tears. So glad we moved out of Arkansas and to a state where the state and county officials care about those who live there.

The worst experience, the lady in the window is so slow, she don’t know nothing, have to ask her peer every minute. Terrible.
