Main City Park

Beautiful Japanese Zen Garden. Well maintained grounds, thanks in part to volunteer efforts ♥ And next to the Springwater path, perfect place to start or end a bike ride 🚲

Our family loves this park! Clean and nice, Japanese garden is beautiful and the playground is nice for kids. Lots of room to roam , walk, bike or just take in the day.

If you haven't experienced Gresham's Main City park, don't miss out & put it on your to-do list! With 20 acres of park including, walking paths, the Japanese gardens, the play area, the fenced dog park, the ball fields or if you want a great meet up place if your on the Springwater trail - it has it all! I've not listed everything this area has to offer, it would take me way more time, & honestly taking about it, I think I'm going to load up the fur children & head out there! Especially now in October, the leaves are phenomenal. See you there!

Tsuru Island is a Japanese Garden within the boundaries of Main City Park. They have a lovely small garden and and a classroom where a variety of classes are taught including my favorite on Japanese bonsai. I've been attending for about a year and have made some great friends. It's also beautiful to watch the garden change with the seasons.

I had a great time. My dog Obie, Add a wonderful time. It was definitely a new experience for him. My only regret is that I did not take him there sooner. That we will not be missing another day from here on out. For those don't know, he's a fantastic place to train your dogs to behave around people and other dogs.

Really nice walk around the park today. It was partly sunny and warm. Never been here before but will definitely be back.

Cute little park with a lot to offer from a dog park, to playground, to Japanese gardens was pleasantly surprised!

Probably the best park in Gresham. Spring Water trail is adjacent and other paths to walk the dog. As well as the new addition of the Japanese Garden.

Went early in the morning, before there were very many people there. The Japanese gardens was inviting and adorable. Then took my almost 3 year old to play on the playground. Looks like most everyone starting showing up just after lunch time.

5 year old review:
I liked nature, plants at the Japanese garden. I liked the benches that was not wet. And I hated the benches was wet. I liked the playground, the high climbing one. You could go there whenever you want and do things whenever you want.

31 year old review:
There's a wide variety of activites/interests including a playground, baseball field, horseshoe area, skatepark, Japanese gardens, picnic area you can rent out for parties, and an enclosed dog park as well. Only downsides were no open bathrooms and when going on the weekends in better weather the playground is too small for the amount of kids that visit. Also when it rains as shown in the picture, the swing area floods a little.

Great clean park with a traditional Japanese garden. Homeless was not bad when I was there and pretty clean

My first ever visit to this park was this last weekend, and my experience here is limited only to Tsuru Island and Ebetsu Plaza. But on the merits of those two sections alone, this park is incredible! Unparalleled, even, as far as public (re: free) parks go!

There's a lot going on here, that I have yet to explore: sports fields (baseball and soccer, at the very least), a skatepark, playgrounds, hiking trails, a dog run, public restrooms, and a covered picnic area, perfect for special events: a wedding was setting up and getting underway during our visit.

The park's grounds are vast, clean and well-maintained. An incredible green space, and a standout feature of the otherwise drab suburban sprawl that is Gresham (outside of the historic downtown area)!

The Gresham Japanese Garden was amazing. It was so perfectly pruned and arranged. It was a piece of art. I will continue to visit ,throughout the seasons,
to experience it beauty.

This park had shade spots and plenty of benches for parents to watch their kiddos from. Though the benches are all metal, so bring a blanket. There is a lot of grass for picnics and tress for shade as well. This is the same place that the Farmer’s Market is at. The splash park is marvelous and everyone seems to get along well. By which I mean, at some parks that you go to parents aren’t paying attention to their kids, and kids pick on each other excessively. I don’t see a lot of that here.

I love that its image is being change through having the Japanese garden, free summer activities offered to the community. My daughter grew up playing at this park.

Beautiful park. Skatepark is nice too. When I came there was a farmers market type thing happening and really popular.
