Can be difficult to get up to the top because of the narrow dirt road, but once you are there, it is a beautiful spot to take photos or just to hang out and enjoy the dramatic view of the mountains and the valley down below

The road leading up is narrow, but fits two cars and is paved all the way to the lookout. The lookout offers incredible views over the valley and Utah Lake and is amazing at sunset. There is a trail leading south from the overlook along the mountain face towards Buffalo Peak for those that enjoy hiking. There are no trash services here, so plan on packing out. PLEASE don't just leave trash there.

Such a great spot to see the entire valley. We took our kids and I think it gave them some great perspective. This would be such a great spot for watching fireworks on the 4th of July!

I went here for the first time the other day and was not disappointed. When I first got out of the car I was impressed to discover how quiet it was. This is a great photography spot as well. Great view of the city lights at night.

Amazing views over the valley and Utah lake. It's unique because it's so close to the city, yet so detached from all the hustle and bustle. The road up is easy. However, on the way out, turning left onto the main highway can be a death-defying experience. Crossing multiple lanes of uncontrolled speeding traffic on a curve can make entering the highway quite risky. Just be patient.

Windy, not usually too busy, and the views are always spectacular. People are usually friendly, and there are plenty of family crowds enjoying their time together. No outhouse facilities though, so limit a controlled water intake of you don't like the little ones being natural. The area is frequented at all hours but all types of adventurers so enjoy when you are! Just remember to be respectful, and yeh...we may even run into each other up there. :)

I'm from Utah. I had a beautiful girl from California bring me up to this place. She didn't know what this place was about, and I didn't know that's where I was being led. But the views were amazing. The company was even better. I would definitely recommend this place.

One of the best places to come to while in Utah. The view is unbelievable! People come up here to meditate, to reflect, to chill, to make out, to camp, you name it :)

Beautiful views, accessible hiking trails, awesome place to catch the sunset - and it's only minutes (half hour or less) from downtown Provo. Lots of places to picnic and explore. No restrooms. There are make-shift fire pits (don't burn plastic there!) At the moment you can see 4 LDS temples from the main parking lot - 6 by 2023.

Everyone was making out. Great spot to hang, dance, skip, talk, observe birds and hike on top of a fairly tall mountain. Incredible views. Shooting stars galore. Drive carefully.

Not very far, View is worth the drive. Drive slowly, the road is skinny and there's lots of people on it around sunset.

I love this road! It is such a beautiful ride and lookout!
The sun leaking through the canyon was so wonderful to see first thing in the morning.

The fall colors are absolutely stunning this time of year too.

I recommend it as a wonderful outing and you can get a great lookout and view without a big hike!

A scenic drive starting in Provo Canyon takes you to a stunning overlook of Utah Valley. Parking at the overlook and Hope Campground nearby.

A gorgeous view of the sunset and Orem. We got there by 08:30 and we were able to find parking to the side of the road.

Fantastic hike for the family. Beautiful views and access to a wonderful hike up to Buffalo Peak with about 4 miles round trip and around 1400 feet of gain.
