Gallo Nero

So this is an Italian restaurant but let me tell you something they're pizza was amazing we got a large pepperoni pizza and I got some stuffed shells my pizza was everything I was more interested in it than my stuff shells to be honest but everything was good. They do have pizza deals but they are for pickup only. We went on a Sunday night and it was raining and parking was still tricky but I lucked up and finally got a spot across from the restaurant.

This place is outstanding. Next level. The food is amazing and the staff is accommodating and kind. My 8 year old daughter has asked several times for the pasta dish featured in the Disney film Luca and they make it for her time and time again. To say I appreciate what they do is an understatement. I am a busy single dad and having them as an option when I don’t have time to cook makes me beyond happy.

Excellence! I am from a different part of the country and finding very good Italian food in this area is not easy. The moment I walked into this cozy pizzeria I could feel the culture and community in the building. The food was excellently breaded, with a rich, correctly seasoned tomato sauce, and an appropriate amount of cheese. The service was superlative, guiding me through the menu, and offering options. Attentive, but private. Overall my experience sitting in this quaint pizzeria's booth was an exciting ride of flavor from beginning to end. The bread, the olive oil, the cheese. Just a great experience.

Went for my son’s birthday, and this place was excellent!! The food was tasty, fresh, good portion sizes, and they had really great prices. The service was also amazing; everyone was so friendly and attentive. I couldn’t recommend it enough

We used Gallo Nero to cater an event at a nearby Brewery in Peabody and they did not disappoint. We could not believe the amount of food that they prepared for us at only $20 per person. It was beyond reasonable and generous and likely could have fed more than double the number of guests we had in attendance.

Every time I called throughout the planning process the staff were patient and attentive with me and always made time to talk through every detail I had a question about.

We had a lot of food allergies to accommodate and the chef went above and beyond to create a specialty menu that removed any worrisome ingredients.

I cannot thank the team at Gallo Nero enough for their kindness, hospitality, and attention to detail. Every guest was raving about how delicious the food was! Definitely consider them to cater your next big event.

I love to cook! After eating there I no longer want to cook! They made me the BEST salad I have ever had! People are great. Take out...perfect! Dine..perfect! Delivery...the same. Prices...do not break the bank ...although they should.

I went Sunday night to Gallo Nero! With my best friend and we had a great time, food was amazing! We had a Margarita pizza, Mediterranean salad, buffalo wings and of course dessert!!! It’s been a long time that I haven’t had a amazing experiences with an authentic Italian restaurant. good music, awesome service! I highly recommend to visit “Gallo Nero Restaurant”

Gallo Nero makes the best calzones in all of Massachusetts (time and time again)! Try the Mediterranean, I add artichokes, and it's my favorite. Their calzones and pizza are above average and are way better than the greasy mess that other pizza places serve. Have some respect for yourself and your family, and enjoy the freshest ingredients at Gallo Nero!

OH MY GOD. this was some of the best food i've ever had! my bf and i drove up from jersey to visit salem. it was about 9/10pm and we were driving around looking for food and found this absolute gem of a place! everything was absolutely perfect and we even got ricotta balls on the house. i wish i got our waitresses name she was so nice. 10 out of 5 stars!

Amazing! Great food and service. Huge portions. From pizza to pasta. My go to is their cheese pizza and chicken ziti broccoli… and never can finish it! Always enough to take home! Or to simply stop by and grab a glass of wine!

Great food, house made fusili among other things. Bars fully equipped. Everyone theres really nice, place is well kept. Im there weekly for my pasta vodka or chix parm, requirement?

Had the best experience at Gallo Nero in downtown tonight. Their takeout is amazing, but if you have the chance to dine inside I totally recommend. Friendly staff, clean environment, and great food 😊

We are in town to visit Boston and spent a very rainy day in Salem, we were wet, tired, starving and could not find a place anywhere that could seat our group. We called and the nice woman told us to come on in. We looked like a bunch of drowned rats but got the most amazing service and one of the best dinners I’ve had in a long time! Plus the cost was unbelievable! Everyone in our group loved the food. We will come back next time we’re in the area!

The food is great and the portions are huge! Garden salads are now a large carte... no longer included with your entree. Nice local family style restaurant. LOTS of TVs!

Well I made it back for dinner... I skipped the drinks since noone else in our group was drinking (I'll be back to try them) the antipasto salad was huge, with tons of cold cuts it could easily serve 4. The pizza was pretty good super thin crust but the star of the meal was the desert....cheese cake and home made tiramisu

I used them for catering for my party. The food arrived at exactly the right time hot and delicious. Would definitely use them again for a party!
