I’ve only been here once but it was enough for me to see the vet working with my dog truly cared. She explained what was going on with my pup, prescribed the appropriate meds and walked me through how to administer them along with additional feedback for care & dog training recommendations. The assistant even called me a week later to check on how she’s doing & even asked for photos to make sure she was healing well. I will definitely be coming back when needed. Thank you all so much!

This vet is the nicest that I’ve ever met. My kitty is on hospice for lymphoma, and the doctor was so honest he told me right away that my cat was extremely ill and that I should go straight to the ER. It took me three visits and 24 hours in the ER and $1500 to finally get an ultrasound Only to confirm what Dr. Merle told me just by a physical examination and palpation. This vet called me every single day for weeks to check on my cat to give me advice to answer questions and to just be a support. All in all he’s probably spent hours and hours on the phone with me and is never charge me a dime except for that first visit. The visits are a little higher than what I would consider normal but it’s worth it with this guy he’s really Smart and has been doing this for 40 years. He doesn’t work for a big veterinary conglomerate he runs his own business so it’s understandable that prices may be a little higher because he’s probably not buying supplies and things in bulk. I saw Dr. Merle in late March and with steroid treatment Cowboy the kitty is still alive and doing quite well. I still check it n with Dr. Merrill and to get steroids from him and send him pictures now and again.
Now, two years later, my kitty is still alive.

I feel that they really care for all of our furry babies.🥰😘

We recently moved from Washington to Oregon (just right over the river), and when our original veterinarian in Vancouver was unavailable, and our young cat fell ill just weeks after losing a different beloved kitty to sickness, we needed help. I found Timberland Animal clinic and liked their site and information, so I made the call. Everyone in the office is kind, caring and professional, and I love knowing that everyone who answers the phone is one of several in a trained team of veterinary assistants. I also love that Timberland is a husband and wife run practice, both of whom are completely certified as veterinary doctors, making their availability and knowledge that much better!

We saw Dr. Merle, and I very much appreciated his calm, careful and conservative approach with our pet's medical treatment after he examined her. She was very unwell and I suspected the worst, but after he administrated an IV for rehydration and sent us home with antibiotics, she rapidly has bounced back and is like a different cat! Her symptoms didn't even line up with something that I would have suspected could be fixed with antibiotics, but Dr. Merle knows what to do, and he took great care of us. I also really appreciated his kind conversation with my young children who were present, as they were sad and concerned for our cat, and were awaiting the worst after saying goodbye to our other kitty.

I recommend Timberland Animal clinic highly to you, and will be a repeat client whenever my pets need to take a trip to the doctor!

Timberland Animal Clinic helped me get a health certificate for my dog for international air travel. They were very accommodating for scheduling office visits when I needed vaccinations by certain dates and helping me with all the documentation requirements needed for the export/import permit. I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic, they provide outstanding customer service.

Wonderful doctors and staff. My dog is not a fan of the vet but warmed up and was really happy to meet everyone.

Dr's Merle and Becky Marks are good people, and wonderful doctors of veteinary medicine. They treat our animals as family, and so do their support staff. We always feel welcome and are welcomed with kindness and compassion by their entire clinic when we walk in. My kitties and I are so thankful we found Timberland Animal Cli ic FRFR! ❤

I had both of my cats check up and spayed/neutered here and it went great. The front staff are amazing and very helpful and make sure to follow up post appointments to ensure the kitties are healthy and happy! Great place and will continue to bring my fur babies here forever.

I cannot reccomend this place any more. Out of the last 3 years we've taken our 2 cats + dog to 4 vets. Looking for reasonable pricing and actual intelligent faculty.

The doctor actually sits and talks with you as a fellow human not a $. They made us aware of a lot of new issues that check out along with animal home life and changes we've personally noticed. If you have concerns or on the fence. Let me help you. The answer is bring your pet.

I can't say enough lovely things about Timberland. They absolutely care for the animals like their own. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else.

The folks at Timberland could not have been nicer or easier to deal with. I was sick and they still found a way to see my sweet kitty Mrs. Voorhees. I actually tried to change my appointment and they pointed out how important it was to have kitty see the doc, so they made that happen! I’ll be back!

Took my buddy in to get neutered. It was a seamless experience for me and they did an excellent job with Nanu. Within a couple of days he was back to 100%. I loved that they called a few days after to check on him and answer any questions that came up.

I have been taking my pets there since they first opened. I live in NE Portland, but I drive out to SE just to take my pets there. Both Dr. Becky and Dr. Merle are wonderful veterinarians, very thorough and very kind. I don't ever want to take my "furry" children anywhere else.

This was a spur of the moment emergency with our dog, we didn’t want to take her to VCA because we didn’t care for the lack of treatment on her last visit. We called around and timberland was the only office that had an opening they where so quick and informative with me found out it was a bladder infection. And I was very pleased with the end result. I will keep going back. The staff are very good also.

Have had nothing but good experiences. They love my dog. They are super caring and helpful with any questions I have had. My dog has allergies and they made treating him so easy. Both my mom and brother also use them for vet services. Also reasonably priced.

Just left from my Dogs appointment, and I can't give them enough stars! Im extremely satisfied with the visit. They were kind, very helpful, efficient, and went over everything in detail with me! Cost was very low too! I appreciate my new clinic!

My dog was bit by a coyote and my vet clinic didn’t have any openings for several days. I was told to take my dog to the ER. He’s a rescue and he’s very nervous in new and unknown places and I couldn’t imagine him doing well in that environment. Instead I called around and Timberland had an appointment that same day. Shannon is the best receptionist. She understood our needs as I was able to pick up a mild sedative for my pup before hand which made the appointment go smoothly. They took great care of my dog and called a few days later to check in. Ill definitely go back.

Timberland Animal Clinic is rated well beyond five stars. The staff is the most friendly, caring individuals and the most trusted to leave your pet with. Everyone there provides the most excellent care and friendliest customer service. I cannot say enough they are wonderful. God Bless them

I started going to this vet during COVID, so I haven't ever actually set foot in the building. But, after several vets, Dr. Becky was the first person to correctly diagnose my cat with hyperthyroidism. She was very thorough, and recommended a series of tests accounting for what was most likely, what was treatable, and what it would cost. He's been back twice for follow up now, to monitor his thyroid and kidney levels, and every time, Dr. Becky is very communicative, veryavery concerned about his well-being, and very kind.
I don't know if she is pricier than other vets for the services my kitty needs: since she was the first vet to give him a proper diagnosis, I have nothing to compare with. I know cost can be a barrier for some people, but in my opinion, her services have been worth the money.

I’ve been meaning to write a review for years. Dr. Becky and Dr. Merl are incredible veterinarians. Their staff is very kind and friendly.

This isn’t some fancy, pretentious office. This is a family clinic, with honest, extremely knowledgeable, down to earth staff and vets.

A year ago, my border collie, Zuko had a massive tumor, my husband brought him in when I couldn’t be there. Dr. Merl called me to break the devistating news that it was my best friend’s time to go.

He was so patient, and answered all my tearful questions with such kindness and empathy. I’ll never forget it.

As long as Timberland, Dr. Becky and Dr. Merle are around, we’ll always take our pets in.
