My daughter was sent to unity on a Sunday night from baptist in heber with acute appendicitis. Dr. Gibbs did her appendectomy the next morning he told us his self that he got the call at 10:30 p.m. that she was on her way so they was going to get ready to do the surgery when she got there then when he found out it was acute and it was 10:30 p.m. he would just wait til the next morning. Really that could have been dangerous. The nurses told us that until he decided he was about to retire he would check on his patients religiously at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. but he doesn't even do that now. He did come talk to her before she was discharged because we started throwing a fit every time she tried to ask a question he would say if you will just let me talk I will answer your questions when he got done talking he left answering no questions whatsoever. He has absolutely no bed side manners. He sent her home with nothing at all for pain told her to take Tylenol she ended up back in baptist the next morning screaming in pain. He should go ahead and retire if that's what he cares about his patients should be more important than that.
