Continental Restaurant

I went with a friend and we sat at the bar - we had a fantastic bartender Christine. She was awesome! best personality and very welcoming! The food was great as well as the service and atmosphere. I highly recommend.

Amazing food! We got the special which includes; bean dip, popovers, rolls and corn fritters (with all meals). Salad or soup. Dinner (we got roasted turkey). A beverage or coffee/tea. And dessert! Highly recommend!👍👍

Service was top notch. Food was very good with the exception of the Potato au gratin which wasn't our cup of tea but a customer favorite. You will not leave hungry. Love the old cozy feel.

this is an amazing place to go and feel like you've gone back in time. the food is good and there's a lot of variety the staff has all been there for many years it seems. personally, as a cool person, I think it's a cool place to go. 😎

The food was delicious and plentiful. We had bean dip and crackers, popovers and cornbread fritters with cherry sauce. The meals were served hot and tasted great. We were too full for dessert.

The atmosphere felt like old Italian, likes scenes in the old Mob movies, very warm and comfortable.

Absolutely amazing. Patty are waitress was a ray of sunshine. She was attentive and so sweet joking with not only us but also my kids. Food was amazing! I could fill up on just the appetizers they bring in the beginning! Will be going back!!!!

Had reservations at a different restaurant but they lost the power

Service and food were impeccable. lived in saugus all my life and have driven by this place every day and never had any interest in going... Boy do I regret that. Popovers, fried dough balls, French onion soup... Everything was phenomenal

Classic/Classy Old school vibe .. Service spot on..even when busy.. Food . Well proportioned. Had the chicken marsala. Moist and flavorful. This is one of the few old school Rt 1 places still around. RIP Hiltop... Great memories there. GLAD THIS GEM IS STILL HERE...See ya next time..

The food is amazing. We have ate there a few times and have never been disappointed. If you are debating where to eat....eat here.

We are from out of town and were looking for a decent place to grab dinner, this place is great and the staff was absolutely amazing. The bean dip is like nothing I've ever had and it is great. Nice atmosphere and the staff really aims to make your experience a great one. If I'm ever back in this area I will not hesitate to eat here again.

Old money type of place... good service, good food and prices are a little high but its worth the experience. Seafood platter is good. Shrimp and lobster scampi good. No pics, sorry but our plates were left clean.

We had the king prime rib for the entree which was very good. I been here about 3 times before in the 90's and they used to come around to the tables with h'ordeavors as I remember. Great that the Continental is still here! Hot Popovers & rolls & bean condiment for crackers are served on your table with a powdered hot donut hole in cherry-like sauce. Oh, and also a cinnamon raisin moist bread square. All are really tasty! The place looks nostalgic like really throwback but fancy. Very comfortable too! Left very full!

Loved everything about this place. From the decor to the cozy atmosphere. They serve complimentary Popover, sweet fritters and a kidney bean dip with crackers. Our waiter was professional but also friendly. Our meals were scrumptious. We will definitely be back!

Classic old school restaurant. Great portions, great staff and great atmosphere. Love going to the Continental.

I had a great birthday meal at the Continental. A super place where professionals know what they are doing. No 18 year-old servers here. My family has been eating here for over 40 years. A real classy place without the huge Boston price. One of the best places on RT1.
