Food is amazing! Prices are very reasonable, friendly owner, dog friendly… what more could you ask for? Very happy we found this place!

Food was superb; portions were huge and the prices were fair. I had an amazing clam plate with fresh hand cut French fries and crispy onion rings. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.

Well this will now be a favorite spot when we want fried seafood! Excellent food - not greasy and staff was extremely pleasant! Called in order and less then ten min food was brought directly to our car! Beats the long line of folks waiting at Clam box up at the street! Give this place a try folks, you won’t be disappointed!!!

My wife and I just tried the food here. I had a great salmon sandwich, fries. Generous hot portions...my wife had haddock and chips... haddock was NOT greasy or too salty and portions were not skimped on...you probably can order one item and split it...next time I will try the chowder which I hear is very very good. Service was excellent. I like that it is husband and wife operated. Food came promptly and we were asked if we needed anything and if our food was ok. Nostalgic music made for nice ambience We'll be back!

One of the best place to get the best tasting food. The clams are out of this world. And the owners are wonderful and truly love what they do.

Shawn and I shared his last fried seafood meal before he goes back to USC…..Chowda & Clams, Scallops, house cut FF and Onion Rings! 10 out of 10, everything was off the chart! Service was outstanding and they cooked my French Fries crispy! Give the wife a break and the family a treat and go to Ipswich Clam Bake….it’s that good!

I had heard of this place through friends and family and given the lack of available adventures within Boston, I decided to go to the Ipswich Beach then try out this place!

The service was quick, efficient and kind. Most of all, they are safe, taking extra precautions during this social distancing phase we are in.

I ordered a lobster roll, see picture below 😁.
It was delicious, I wish I grabbed a couple more. I've been to a number of spots and I appreciate how I am getting a lobster roll, not a mayonnaise + some lobster and tons of bread.

I would recommend anyone to go check this place out, especially if you are anywhere around the beach area and need a quick, satisfying stop.

Very Very Nice! Great customer service. The platter was filling. 2 I mean 2 haddock's. Differently worth going.

Ipswich Clambake catered my wedding in Gloucester on 9/28/19, and I can't say enough good things about them.

My fiance and I worked with Amanda to plan the menu. She was easy to work with, responsive, and most importantly, she worked with us to customize the menu and ensure we kept costs reasonable.

My biggest concern about the reception was that it would feel like a picnic and not a semi-formal event. I didn't have to worry! We got the "china" package (real dishes but not fancy), which came with servers, and this really took it up a notch. The servers passed hors d'oeurves during the cocktail hour, served at the buffet, and cleared tables. They were all super nice!

We served a buffet with two courses: 1) a salad, chowder, and steamers, and 2) steak tips, grilled chicken, and whole lobsters.

My family is from Ohio and I knew they'd be blown away by the lobster (they were!) but what surprised me was that our local guests raved about it, too. One of our friends is a chef and another grew up in a fishing town, and they both said it was the freshest, most perfectly cooked lobster they ever had. Weeks later, people are still talking about it!

We had leftovers and Ipswich left them in the fridge for us at the venue. We vacuum sealed everything and plan to enjoy it throughout the winter!

Thank you Amanda and crew for making our wedding absolutely perfect, and one that people will be talking about for a long time!

This is my 2nd visit, delicious Lobster rolls

This is a great spot, nothing to impressive as far as flare and cliche ambiance for a northshore clam spot ,but it beats waiting in line outside for an hour at any other local clam spot. You want the real locally caught , fresh, seafood and fair prices and want it in a timely manner.. skip the nostalgia and come here this is where the locals go.

This place was amazing!! People behind the counter were super friendly even brought my food to my car. Fisherman's plater was more than 2 people could eat. Every bite delicious. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Stopped here mid October with my wife and we were blown away by the quality of the food. The fish and chips is the best I’ve ever had. Was working in the area today and stopped again. Same experience epic food and friendly staff. I’m from Ohio so this was a new found treat in my travels.

Ipswich Clambake offers consistent and *YEAR-ROUND* New England seafood classics. You can eat in or take to go (during the pandemic they adopted curbside pickup service - give them your order and card number by phone and they’ll come out to your car with your food). Their service and promptness is excellent whether eating in or taking out. And they’re open year round AND take credit card!! Who else can say that?

Their clam chowder is great, as are all the fried seafood items (though I tend to order the shrimp most).

Every time my Husband and I go to Ipswich Clam Bake, the food is phenomenal, cooked the way ask. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone whom likes seafood!

Great quality seafood, right portions and friendly people. I've been coming to this restaurant for a few years and they have consistently been very good. Today I had their lobster roll and a fried haddock sandwich.

This place is a hidden gem!! Service is awesome!! We were there today and the seafood platter was amazing!! Were else does the owner come out and gave dogs water and treats. He is such a nice man. Kids had chicken fingers and a cheese burger meal it they said it was the best chicken fingers eva.Thank you for everything we will see again soon.!!

Not sure why people are waiting in a 100 yard line down the street when you can walk right in here. Light breading, not too greasy. Solid portions. Fisherman’s platter was plenty enough for 2.

Amazing place,very fresh seafood . Excellent customer service. Very good place to eat with family. Small place but food 2nd to none. Please go and try this place, you're going to love it.
