Carmaleno's Pushcart Restaurant

Food is excellent & the portions are great size to fill you up & take home for late night snack or lunch the next day. Staff is outstanding & the cook will make your meal the way you ask. Atmosphere is like the old fashioned North End restaurant family style. The bar is stock & the bartenders are great. When you want to go out and feel like your home this is the SPOT.

I'm there at least once a week. It's certainly a Favorite of mine

We traveled from PA today to Boston and it was a horribly long trip. We did not get to go to eat dinner until 8:00 and we picked this restaurant. The food was great and we could tell it was fresh and just prepared. The service was great..server #5 did not know her name. The young man that brought bread and packed up leftovers so polite and efficient. It would be a nice addition for the bread to be a little warm when served.

I feel a little stupid doing this review because this is such a hidden little gem which will be overrun if it becomes famous but people need to know about this place. If they visit once, they will return.

Excellent. I have taken my signiifcant other there twice for a special occasion. We have pretty high standards for Italian food. Both times our expectations where met and exceeded. The service was exceptional. No need to drive into the North End. It is near-by on Main Str Saugus. We can get there without getting on Route 1, that is a plus. If you live near-by try it. If you don't it is worth the trip.

This place has the best food! Love the fact you can taste that each dish is made from scratch. And the raviolis cooked perfectly al dente! Great prices and service.

Ok ive never been big on italian food... But im obsessed with this place now! The owners and staff make you feel like you are eating at a traditional Italian home with much love. But most importantly the food is absolutely delicious. Try anything and everything. I have and its all amazing!

Quaint, ltalia atmosphere sets the tone for a pleasant dining experience. Homemade Italian food and desserts are delicious. Served up by attentive servers that make you feel at home.

Best italian food in the city. Homemade TLC in all their cooking. Tomatoe Sauce is SO good. Marsala, Angelique and chicken parm and meatballs make my mouth water. Good vibe for a date, family, business or casual. Seriously eat here, and then take some extra home too! I know my italian food!!!

Awesome friendly staff and the chef is From the North End from the original pushcart so you know its good!

I have gone to Pushcart every few months for the last several years. I think that the food here is outstanding. I usually always order the Chicken Angelique with sorento sauce over the homemade house gemelli or fusilli pasta. Place never seems too crowded to walk into without a reservation. The owners are very nice people. I highly recommend Carmaleno's Pushcart.
