Big Y at Fresh Acres

The butcher that worked today 12/3 around noon time was outstanding. He took the time to assist me and my 17month old son with our selections. He walked with us from chicken, to beef, and then fish selections; using sanitary and food safety skills with each exchange and was spot on in his calculations.
Ive had good and poor experiences with this store, however lately the good has been tipping the scale. Keep up the great work we love the local, small town feel!

Nice clean store, friendly staff, excellent meat and prepared food selection and, little niche items. I especially love the local farms milk and eggs. Bakery is to die for. Love this big y over others in the area

I love shopping here and I usually go once a week. There is a wonderful presentation of fresh fruits and vegetables, local! I always find good things throughout the store and am impressed with my experience. My issue is paying for the paper bags. According to our Governor you can’t use reusable bags. I really believe that your store is great, and I don’t mind paying a little more for the stuff I want . But charging for paper bags is a shame.

Very clean, very well organized, and the location is great. This is my favorite grocery store in the area, and I recently found out they’re owned by Big Y which is great because Big Y is a great, local company. Fresh acres is like their version of a whole foods, it’s on the expensive side but is always fresh, and they carry more “natural” products big Y does not.

This is one of the best Big Y in the area more selections and more friendly workers I always go to Big Y in Palmer Not anymore I will come here from now on. Fresh meats and seafood

Just wrapped up a swim meet with my teen and needed some fresh easy options for lunch. We stopped in and were able to not only grab a few groceries but they have roasted chickens, pre-made sandwiches, fruit cups, sushi, salads, a salad bar and more. Fresh or freshly made and in a decent price point.

Loved Fresh Acres and was sad when the news that it was becoming a Big Y was announced. I shop at Big Y, but loved the special things I could find at Fresh Acres. Much to my surprise...I love the new store, it is a nice mix of both. To be honest I find myself buying more because they have the special things I really love and the basics I need.

This is a great place to get fresh produce and meat. They just have a great selection of products in general. The prepared foods are really good too with options like soups, wings and stuffed shells. They also make sushi, prepared fresh every day. This is a great place to shop or grab a bite to eat for lunch.

Cute little market for quick grocery runs. Everything is much more expensive so I go when I’m looking for a unique item or just need to grab one or two things. Great vegetable and cheese selection! People are friendly and the store is always nice and clean.

Love this place! I used to live in the area. I miss the high quality products. The fresh meals. Love their croissants and the sushi! Oh mine, the cheeses! All top quality. And the staff are very professional and helpful. I wish we have something similar where I live now.

One of my best buddies happens to work here! Sometimes I see him, other times I don’t. He’s so friendly and warm to thou and all the other customers. Thank you for being such a scholar. The service I great overall and I love the yum yums. June 13th… is the day…

I just had one of the pre-made Muffeleta sandwiches and I have to say it is one of the tastiest sandwiches I ever had! I got home toasted it in the oven for 15 minutes at 225, took the lettuce out before hand so it didn’t wilt, and enjoyed the flavors! Great sandwich, great experience. 👍🏻

This is my all time favorite grocery store! The selection and produce quality just can't be beat!!! Not to mention their ready made meals. They definitely are taylored to the healthy consumer, so you can expect slightly higher prices than a "typical" grocery store, but it's well worth the quality that you get. And again, KILLER PRODUCE!!!

Great place to buy groceries.

Amazing local produce, local teas, Butch cut meats, bakery singles are delicious, gluten free baking/cooking needs as well as a robust assortment of prepared foods. I can't say enough about this place! Somehow they manage to create a local market vibe and selections, quick lines, intimate feels, while still offering enough products for you to complete your weekly shopping

Fresh Acres is incredible! The food, the employees everything. Instead of bashing a store in a review about something you admit yourself they probably don't know about how about calling them and bringing it to their attention. They are a premium grocer and have premium people working there. No one has better produce, meat, or seafood. It is a pleasure to go there

Great quality, but rather expensive. There is a massive prepared foods selection for a quick bite for lunch, from sandwiches to sushi, pizza to steak, and everything in between. There is also a soup bar, wing bar, and hot bar. These are all reasonably priced for the taste and quality. I usually shop here for lunch rather than true grocery shopping. 5/5 overall though.
