Van Horn Park

Great open park that has a little bit of everything from kids playground, baseball field, basketball courts, tennis courts, excersise area and hiking trails. Super dog friendly and a great place to de-stress from the everyday. Plus super clean!!

Park us great for my young son's, especially now with the new playground. The only problem is that the toys get burning hot when it's too sunny out. But the park is wonderful if the playground is too hot to play on the water park is right next to it.

Beautiful park! Relaxing views, swing & slides for the children, walking trails & police stays around monitoring around.

With one of our kids going to the clinic at baystate hospital I decided to bring the rest of our kids here one day and now we stop all the time. It has excellent paths for kids to ride scooters, stop at a nice playground, nice courts and fields. They do a really nice job in my opinion at keeping this park clean, even throughout the length of the paved walking path it was kept up really nice. Feels like a pretty safe place for the kids. Worth checking out!

I was looking for a peaceful place to practice my Easter song and I was driving pass so I decided to stop.. it is very nice park to hang out with your own personal thoughts, watch kids play and for me to sing. It's kept up. Landscapers were cleaning up while I was there. Nice.

Always drawn to this place since i was young i seen fish in the pond no one would believe ive caught alot here aswell but i release them back hard to believe there little spots like these scattered in a city thats always on the news for not so beautiful reasons Mother Natures awesome

I love this park they have a nice trail walk. Big field, basketball hoop swings and bathrooms

it's a great wide open park with a big field for your kids to run around, they just built a new playground there,and the water park and playground are amazing !! my kids had a wonderful time there all this past summer!!!! There's also plenty of spots in the shade, right near the playground. Just bring a blanket and make it a day!!

The park is nice all year round. The play-structure is fun for the kid and it has water sprinklers for the summer months. The paved pathway is a great walk with benches spaced along it for a rest. In the front there is usually a patrol car stationed near the restrooms, and an Icecream truck stops frequently in the summer.

Park Really is awesome the park maintenance guy in charge is very friendly and helpful. The park lately has been taken over with people parking in cars smoking marijuana. Not here to judge but wouldn't you feel better doing it at your own home. Because after leaving the place they also leave their trash. These are mature people who should realize Mom isn't still cleaning up after them. Toss the trash in the cans not the park or parking lot.

My childhood park. Love coming back to walk through and have never explored it 100% with how big it is. Nice playgrounds, baseball diamonds, basketball and tennis courts here too.

I love Van Horn park! A nice place to walk a dog or go for a jog... there's a paved pathway that's between 2-3 miles long, a couple small ponds, and a large field with two baseball diamonds, a soccer field etc. There are also two serviceable basketball courts near the main entrance. Bathrooms are located by the basketball courts, but are not always open.

walking trail excellent two and a half miles marked it's great quiet it's like a nature walk. Also there is manual workout equipment very good for a workout before you go for your walk.

Nice park to take the kids for a run in the fields or play on the playground.

Wonderful park with huge field, work out area, nice playground, splash park, and shaded & paved trails. A new favorite.

Love how clean it is and the options it has from the water park to the swings and fields ect.. Benches a around. Its own path to the swings and it's Really nice.

A delight to have in our city great paths to walk on bicycling running dog walking very Scenic and relaxing and calming everybody comes together and just enjoying that environment only thing is I wish they would have open restrooms and hold more events there because it's just a beautiful spot

It's a nice paved path to walk on,some moderate hill area a lot of shaded areas the old Van Horn resivior is what you walk around a great place to walk or run and you can bike and bring your dog on a leash

Awesome park to watch kids games and there is a little playground! Pets are welcome if there on a leash and you must pick up after them otherwise great park!!!!!!
