Absolutely beautiful reservoir. Trails are mostly flat. There is wildlife including geese as well as other water are living creatures. There are many benches follow the trails and some interesting sites along the way. No dogs allowed as it is a reservoir

One of my favourite places 😍 I love it.
Parking is free, there are a lot of ducks, squirrels, birds, turtles, fishes, etc. I also saw two beavers swimming🥰.
Excellent place to walk, run, bicycle.
So peaceful, it has a lot of benches to sit all around the paths.
Be aware with snakes!, A lady told me she saw a Rattle-snake when I was there.

Such a great place for a walk! Walkways run through the lakes so you can walk from one side to the other. There are benches to sit on. Just a nice peaceful place. If you haven't been, you're missing a great experience. Park at the Elks and walk thru the gate about 10 minutes to the water. You'll love it!

Nice and flat gravel covered paths that range from a mile loop to about 4.5 miles all the way around. Very peaceful and quiet walking, with just the sound of the crunching gravel under foot and the nature around. Canadian Geese were around, and lots of droppings cover the pathways, so watch your step! You can also bring your bike for a nice bike ride.

This place is very nice, great view. A good place to ride bike, or just simply walk about to lessen stress. Though parking not so good. I have seen so far geese, ducks, a bald eagle, a bunny, turtles, dragon flies, a heron and fish here, oh and a dog on a leash too. Love this zoo!

Ashley Reservoir is honestly one of the most beautiful places to go for a walk, run, or, my personal favourite, a longish bike ride!

Best Kept Secret Walk-About.
This park offers a great walk, run & bike about. Ducks and Geese. Very clear water and fish. The tall pines that surround the reservoir make it pop. The parking is very tight but I see it's the norm to park on RT 202. This is must go-to spot for all.

Parking at the Elks brings you to the entrance. Walk is very easy, flat terrain with picturesque views. Our day happened to be a grey one with a snow covered trail. Beautiful walk. We passed several runners and folks with dogs.

A friend introduced me to Ashley Reservoir today. I'm stoked. Such a beautiful place to walk or run. I especially love that NO pets are allowed as I then don't have to navigate any messes left behind. The views are amazing. There are benches along the paths and i even saw a portopotty (sp?). This is going to be a great spot for me to get my steps in. I'm super excited 😄 Free parking.

Absolutely beautiful place to take a walk. Abundant wildlife, you will see plenty of heron's, ducks, and geese and various songbirds here. Very clean and well kept. Being able to walk some of the paths with the water surrounding you from both sides is one of the most relaxing experiences. The trails are well travelled but never feels too busy here. Very easy trails for people of all ages too. If you stay on the open trails away from the woods it isn't too buggy.

Absolutely perfect, I'm here all the time! Ducks, blue heron, turtles... so many cute creatures come out if you're quiet enough. The reflections on the water are always a treat, and currently, with the snow, the reservoir looks nothing short of magical.

Unusual reservoir with paths that gently bisect the water which makes for peaceful hikes almost always close to the water.
