Downtown St. Louis YMCA at the MX

Been here twice and I really like this place. They have a great staff, new equipment and a modern design. Locker rooms have showers in the sauna. This is a great YMCA

Love this location! All on the front desk associates Brendan, Sal and Michael are pleasant and knowledgeable about the various classes. I felt very much welcomed when I did my tour. The locker rooms and work out areas are clean and well maintained.

Excellent place to practice some positivity, with benefits for mind, body, and spirit!!! The employees are super friendly and helpful too! If you're looking for some healthy change in life, I highly recommend the YMCA in downtown STL.

Downtown location small in size but you can get a workout 💪 in....

You know how you hear that a great gym should motivate you to set ambitious goals and help you stay accountable to hitting them? I had always thought that was marketing fluff until I joined the Y at the MX. The staff are seriously great: I can say without a doubt I have exercised more and missed fewer gym days because Angie and Salvador have had my back. This place is uncommonly supportive - and authentically so, at that. 5 stars, easy

I love the staff; personable, frienyly, welcoming and attentive! Debbie, Sal, Michael, KJ and the rest really make my visit enjoyable! Plus I love the classes, the various times they're given and the awesome instructors Dan, Tonya and Michelle; super knowledgeable and helpful! I love this smaller, more intimate and modern facility!!

The facility and the equipment are clean. The gym has the essentials (free weights, machines, cardio equipment - and an area for cross fit as well. The factuality is bright and open, so the space is utilized very well. Best of all, walking distance for me!

I started working out 💪 today for my first time at this location and didn’t had no clue where to start something, however I met such a nice friendly stuff who welcome me specially Ricardo who showed me around and stared working out with me step by step and show me the right way to use the equipments.
Thank you Ricardo. definitely, will come back again.

Best gym in Saint Louis.... And they have the most beautiful pool in all of the Midwest. 90 years old and in perfect condition. Not sure why they don't market this gym and keep it such a secret.

The Downtown Y is an excellent choice for those looking for a straightforward workout experience. While the space is not as large as other YMCA locations in the region, the size suits the space and crowd very well.

Beyond the general exercise area where there are the are the aerobic machines, weight machines, and free weights, the space also includes two large classrooms that are used for a variety of classes offered by the Y (yoga, spinning, etc). The machines all are in good condition and are up-to-date. WiFi is also available throughout the facility. The locker rooms are spacious and offer many of the amenities one might expect (steam room, showers, hairdryers, and so on).

The staff is very courteous and friendly, while definitely promoting the YMCA's core mission and fostering a communal space. The space is kept clean and looks very welcoming. The crowd using the gym is primarily composed of folks from around Downtown and the office workers nearby.

The YMCA at the MX is great for those who have relatively basis workout needs. If your athletic regiment is more unorthodox (CrossFit or extreme powerlifting), you should probably consider other gyms.

I go to Kickboxing and Body Pump and both are great! Dan & Teri do a fantastic job instructing us and pushing us to do more every class. I always feel like a get an exhausting workout!

Love this place my daughter and I swim laps and do water aerobics. I don't know what you all are saying aboit bad staff or not friendly. Or running people down because they are gay. Maybe you need to look in the mirror judge not less ye be judged.

Always clean and the staff has always been helpful! The only issue can be parking, but that's just downtown in general.

Love the downtown YMCA. It's very quiet and I like the privacy there!

You can still use the equipment! You're responsible to sanitize before and after use. The rooms are closed. No groups til further notice.

Definitely had a wonderful experience here, the staff were so friendly and helpful whenever I needed help and the place was very clean, and I can't wait to go back there again.

It's a small space, but they've done a lot with it. Don't expect any aquatics in this downtown location, but a Y membership will grant you access to all the Y's in the area.

Great YMCA location, very convenient for downtown. Plenty of free weights and cardio.

Best Y around, go there everyday after work to workout and always to be met by a great staff. KJ and Angie are always there to help out whenever you need it.
