A nice forest with plenty of paths if you want to avoid other people. People do frequent it but it's not too populated. There are several pet waste stations posted about the area as well if you forget a bag. Can get a bit muddy in the wet weather.

Great walking trails, always friendly people but never too busy, and my dog loves it here. Right in our neighborhood, too. There’s even a designated Nature Play Area where you can explore and play IN the goodness, off trail! There’s always some different, cool structures that somebody’s built there with sticks and such.

Great place to walk, run, ride, with a nature play area to build forts with logs, branches, and sticks.

The outside loop is about a mile. The park is super lush and occasionally we run into deer, ducks, and other wild life. Easiest parking, Southwest Sexton Mountain Drive & Southwest Maverick Terrace.

I love this place. I used to live right next door, but now I have to drive a couple miles. It is well worth it. I fell in March over a big tree root, and cracked my rib, so you have to be looking at your feet and go slow because they are everywhere. Still, even with the tree roots and the sound of a coyote I heard yesterday, it wont keep us away. Hyland park forest is a sanctuary for the soul searcher with hidden gnome homes placed by children. My dog loves it! Saw my first ever Owl too. He was huge!

Great forest trail! So many different trails, little ivy, lots of oddly shaped trees.

Lots of paths to explore. Nice to walk through a small forest so close to neighborhoods. Some moderately steep terrain but paths are well maintained. Many walkers with dogs who are generally courteous.

A lovely scene awaits every turn in this enormous park in the middle of Beaverton. Dozens of trillium boom, mallard ducks paddle, and the gnarly trees give homes to many creatures. My young creatures really love the natural play area- they can climb and dig and create to their hearts content.

A lovely neighborhood wilderness area with a designated space for kids to play in nature, complete with a GIANT fort that has to be the work of several years of kids, and a very basic and fun tree swing. Perfect for kids who love to play off-trail and don't mind a bit of mud! I also appreciated that everyone we saw was wearing masks and keeping distance.

Went for a morning walk on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy until around 10am. The park is beautiful with lots of intercepting trails and easy to get lost in if you aren't familiar with the area. A great place for walking the dogs!

My boyfriend and I went on a walk here this weekend and it is such a nice little park where you can forget you're in a suburb for a while as you explore the area. The trees are tall and provide a lovely forest atmosphere, shading you from the sun and the city. It also doesn't seem to be too much of a busy area, and if you get deep enough within, you can feel like you're alone in nature.

Took my 5 months pup out for a trail walk (hopefully it'll turn into trail runs in the near future) and this area is great! Shaded, well maintained and great encounters. Will definitely become our walking routine!

Fun wooded park with hiking trails. The thing that makes this park unique is that there is a designated wooded, off trail play area. Kids have built some cool structures. I wish I knew about this when my kids were little...they would have loved it!

Wonderful place to walk around. Pet and kid friendly. Also a fun place to trade painted rocks! If you find any, post on the Facebook site listed on the back of the rock!

Nice walking trail in a cute neighborhood. There's an outer loop that most people walk/run, the inside trails are nature play areas but also great for walking around. The inside trails are little confusing because there is no map but it's a small park so you'll find your way out no problem.
Some gravel, mostly dirt paths. There are tree roots sticking out to look out for.
There are trash bins at every entrance to the park, which there are quite a few. Didn't really see much littering which was awesome.

I've been coming here since 1966. If you see the ancient remnants of a tree fort 30 feet above you, that was my doing, along with BrianTracy and Scott Harmon, over 50 years ago. The forest has changed, of course, but it is still magic for me. The map shows the location of my tree fort. Look up and see it!

This evening, in the gloaming, I could hear the Elves of Rivendell singing,

O! Where are you going,
With beards all a-wagging?
No knowing, no knowing...

Great forest paths. Quite enough to forget you're in the middle of Beaverton for a few minutes.

A great park for getting out and escaping. Nice people who frequent along with the occasional group of teenagers cosplaying or filming their fortnite dance challenges. Really anything can happen here and that's what makes it so magical. A few months ago we met a caterpillar (Bob) in the middle of the trails and we have it transportation to a safe nearby log. Awhile later we came back and there was a butterfly so we like to think that was him. Anyways, that moment was only possible because this place enabled it!

A good walk. Plenty of shade and greenery, not terribly steep. It was pretty cold on the day my friend and I walked, so not crowded. I went with my granddaughters one day and they had a blast climbing on things. Bicycles occasionally.
