Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant

Enjoyed late lunch/early dinner on a Wednesday. Arrived about 3:15pm on a windy day. After putting our name on the sign-in sheet, it was about 40-45 minutes before there was a table for the four of us inside. There are two tables outside, but it was too windy. Casual atmosphere with waitstaff who were moving quickly but with time to be pleasant. Plate presentation was superb. Portions plentiful. Flavor tasty.

This is by far the best Mexican food in the area. It's flavorful, unique and fresh. All of the dishes are carefully created and the sauces are set apart from the canned stuff at most restaurants. It's best to come early, it's a small place and demand for a seat is high. But it's always worth the wait.

First time here and was great. Service and food excellent. We had vegetarian enchiladas and a burrito. Great! Great portions. Took carrot cake to go and was also wonderful. This is a small place and was busy but we only waited a few minutes.

Excellent food! The presentation is phenomenal, the flavors are perfect. Portions are more than adequate, always need a to-go container. The new cucumber spearmint lime drink is fantastic. Highly recommend stopping for lunch or dinner. If you are lucky to get in you will not regret it!

Lovely family run restaurant with authentic Mexican food. Glad we found this place on a drive across the US. A small place and all homemade food so expect to wait for a table (which is a good sign) But we found the service was prompt and didn’t wait long for food at all. We had the nachos with sirloin steak which were delicious and the Friday night special enchiladas. Thank you for a lovely Friday night meal and making us feel so welcome after our very long day travelling.

Stopped by this restaurant for lunch while driving between Tucson and Sierra Vista while visiting my parents. Everything was excellent. I loved the vibe...very Mexican casual feel. The service was excellent. The food was also excellent. I loved the little tortilla shapes they put in the center of the rice on each plate-so cute! The restaurant doesn't look like too much from the road but do not let that dissuade you. It is very cute inside and it's definitely worth stopping. Very affordable too.

Wonderful restaurant in every way from service to food presentation. They are only open limited days, but certainly worth going. They do prefer cash but will take card for nominal 1.4% charge.

Hard to find and nothing but a sign in sheet that's outside on a chair. Put your name on the list and wait outside until they come and get you. Authentic food, huge portions, and low prices. This is a regular stop when my buddy and I are traveling to California, except on Mondays when they're closed.

I have wanted to visit this restaurant for years. It was fantastic. Everyone loved their food. The Dec tortilla decorations on the plate included a coyote with a santa hat. A xmas dressed chicken, a reindeer, and Saguaro cactus.

Had lunch at Mi Casa after the tour of the Mescal movie set in Benson. Quaint, busy but still great service, and the food was terrific! My husband had the shredded beef Burro on the Run and I had the shredded beef Chimichanga Baja. Rarely do I enjoy every taste I discern in a dish but I did in this case. The half and half sauce topping was delicious and really topped off the entire dish. The beans were very good. I'm not a big rice fan and it was a touch too hard for me, but don't judge based on my opinion since I'm super picky about rice. The service was quick and efficient with just the right amount of checking back in with us, not too little, not too often. I would definitely make the drive back to Mi Casa from Sierra Vista, the food was that good! The decor outside was interesting and beautiful too.

Wonderful filling Mexican dishes, complexity of flavors that are nowhere else. Love the atmosphere, cleanliness, and service. Great prices. Look at the beautiful details in the tortilla, I mean every bite has love in it. A gem in Benson that is overlooked.

Amazing food, all homemade by scratch! It's a family run business, the husband waits the tables while the wife cooks the food. The inside is very homey with lots of decor to look at. There's plenty of seating outdoors as well as inside. The food came out quick and looked incredible (see the pictures). It tasted fantastic, some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. If I was local to the area I'd come here all the time. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Last year we missed out on this little gem when we were in town visiting and couldn’t wait for this years trip to try out. We were so happy we decided to come back! We had the three enchiladas and wow, the sauces are so amazing and you can tell everything is from scratch and authentic! The owner was very attentive and funny. The other waiter was very attentive to filling our waters, making sure we had what we needed and was enjoying our food. I highly recommend this place as it’s worth the wait if you want REAL & AUTHENTIC Mexican food. I felt like part of the family during my dining experience! This will be an annual stop during our annual trips to Tucson! The carrot cake is also a must!! :)

Excellent food! The atmosphere and presentation were superb. This is a diamond in the rough. Went with my Uncle who is a retired five-star chef and he was impressed. The food is full of flavor without being too salty. Sauces are home-made and the veges were crisp and fresh. We are already planning on going back for more!

We will find any excuse to come back to Benson, so we can enjoy more of Santa’s incredible Sauces.

Food was Excellent. Taco salad and veggie burrito enchilada style with both sauces! Well worth the 20 minute wait.

Fantastic restaurant! It is a husband and wife, family business. The owners are Andy and Santa.

The best part was the Flan! It’s like a cheesecake flan! Wow!

Love this place.

I have traveled all around the world and love to eat.. This food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting, and the service was excellent. I normally don't review anything, and I can be a bit of a "Karen" so take my word for it... This is worth driving out of the way for, and the carrot cake will put you into a food coma.. I told my husband if I die tomorrow, I just ate my best meal. But seriously, it was fantastic.

This was a whim stop, but oh, did it pay off! The food was wonderful, the dog-friendly patio seating was charming.

Absolute love the food! They are busy though when we arrived, the place is full of fun things to look around and lots of decor. The food is creatively plated and delicious.
