This place is an Art house bookstore, with a dash of New England New Ageism. A really unique spot with an eclectic mix of books, niknacks and art supplies. The young women working is a Savant of the Scribes. She will ask you what you like to read and then disappear for a few moments and arrive back with a unique selection of appropriate books. Kind of cool.

Fantastic bookstore! The staff is incredibly helpful and enthusiastically gives out great book recommendations. They were incredibly kind and warm with all the customers who came in including lots of wild kids. They have a varied book & gift selection. It is a lovely bookstore not to be missed in the area.

Super cute book shop! We stopped in after getting coffee next door. Nice selection of books & gift type things. Really unique finds. Very beautiful book shop with a welcoming vibe! Loved their Halloween table set up with cute Halloween books & knicknacks.

Came into the store on a whim. A lovely employee asked me what books I was into. She walked away and came back with a recommendation that I had never heard of and was right up my alley.

The store was well organized and had plenty to look at. Prices were also very reasonable.

I will definitely be coming back again!

We came for cards (but of course we also bought books.). Great selection of cards and other gifts. Creative shop!

Amazing selection of children's and YA books and perfectly located next to Atomic Coffee (with direct access!) I bought a few books, including Matthew Desmond's latest release, "Poverty, By America" -- it's an informative read and I highly recommend to anyone who's looking to better understand the "welfare state" in the USA.

This store also has a great selection of LGBTQ+ literature and a friendly staff. I couldn't find a personal finance book I wanted and was easily able to order it to pick up during my next visit. They also deliver but the atmosphere is worth the nice walk. Making this shop a part of my regular routine!

I'm a huge bibliophile and Copper Dog Books is by far my favorite book store. I order all my books from them. The selection is great, the staff is friendly, but what makes them so special is that they'll always go that extra mile for customers. I'm a frequent customer and the owner knows what I like and always recommends the perfect book. She's even saved a signed copy from one of my favorite authors for me, just because she knew I'd love it. Truly outstanding customer service.

Nicely stocked, well displayed with a lot of kids books. Nice browsing environment. Staff is helpful. An independent bookstore that lives up to the title - feels more intimate than the chain bookstore. Bookstores are so much better than Amazon or other online.

I keep returning and find that they have added new titles to check out and fresh new topical displays that make it attractive to pursue new interests in addition to the original reason for visiting.

I love supporting a local book store, and Copper Dog Books makes it easy to keep going back. They are always happy to look for books they don't have on their shelf, everyone is very nice, and it's fun to look through their other items, like cards, cups, candles, chopsticks, cookie cutters, and more. Two thumbs up!!

I adore this bookstore! I've been coming here since it was Cabot Street Books; they were able to expand during the pandemic and they make every use of the space! This place is packed with books in every corner and they have a fantastic selection. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgeable if you'd like a recommendation. Plus, if you live in Beverly they will deliver your order to you! Highly recommend.

Nice selection of mostly fiction and fantasy books. You can view their stock online, which is an amazing resource that not many other small book stores have.

I love this independent book store! They recently expanded the store and we love shopping here whenever we need a gift. I really appreciated the extended hours for holiday shopping. There are lots of books but they also carry cards, puzzles, toys, and sometimes have local keepsake items like t-shirts and Beverly mugs. The store is in a very walkable area with street parking and other retail shops, restaurants, and parks nearby. We are so lucky to have them- if you’re passing through, don’t think twice about stopping in this shop. It’s great.

Copper Dog Books is the bookstore you wish bookstores were: A magical assortment of books you wanted, books you didn't realize you wanted, and books you had no idea you absolutely needed. If they don't have it, they can get hands on it with more ease than you would expect of an independent bookshop..

I have always left with more books than I planned to buy walking in, and I have never regretted it. Their staff recommendations are on point, their new selections are always relevant, and their children's section is matchless.

The new owners have vastly improved the selection and feel while retaining the informal comfort one expects of a proper bookshop. If you didn't know it by now, Copper Dog Books is my favorite and it's probably going to be yours too.

Super friendly staff, beautiful store, witty card descriptions pointing out staff favorites, and wrapped mystery books complete a truly lovely indie vibe. They’re the quintessential Local Bookstore.
They also handled ordering a copy of a book for me really well. They were fast and efficient and notified me right away when it came in.
Truly a bibliophile’s dream come true

When you go in and need to place an order for a book it is so easy. You get well taken care of with Special Orders, they arrive when they are promised and it's easy to grab your purchase and go. But do linger, so many fun little things in store and the sense of great community. Shop Local! Keep independent book stores alive.
