Lyons Park

I love that it’s free parking and my kids can use the park and the beach all at once. I hate that the bathrooms close so early but I’m learning everything up here closes early unless it involves alcohol. The beach is kept pretty clean and low tide is our favorite to visit. My nonverbal daughter has more freedom to explore the waters at low tide since it stays very shallow. The kids love exploring the hermit crabs. They even caught an eel one visit.

This was once the property of Reverend and Judge John Hale of Old Salem(Beverly). I was there last Saturday to visit ancestral farmhouse. The historical society wanted me to pay to tour the house and additional $25 to stay and watch a play of the "Crucible". Of course I walked to the beach to cool off on an 80* day.

A great small park on the water with a big feel thanks to a sandy beach, walkways, playground, and grassy picnic space. There's a small parking lot but plenty of street parking.

Great beach with a playground nearby and pretty clean bathrooms (it is a public restroom at the beach so set expectations low and you'll be pleasantly surprised!) Some shady grass areas as well to enjoy. Small lot and a lot of street parking.
Restrooms are open late June- end of August, 10am-4:30pm daily.
Outside of summer it's a great spot to walk your dog, have kids run around at the playground, or enjoy a peaceful spot at the beach!

The playground was such a fun place for my granddaughter and I. And the beach is within walking distance.

Free, street parking, only in one side of the street. Parking is very limited.
Big play ground, bathroom, out side shower, trash barrels, green space with lot of shade, pets friendly. Benches .

This is a very nice park with a beautiful beach. It's usually pretty clean but it's pretty public so you can only expect so much. Speaking of which, sometimes there are strange people there at night. I think I saw a tent set up in the beach the last time I was there but I'm not judging.

Beautiful calm beach with a large green space that features a dedicated parking lot, swings for the kids, lots of trash bins and plenty of shade trees. The beach itself is soft light sand with small pebbles and shells near the water - lots of beach glass. It's busy in the summer during the day but in the morning and evening it is a peaceful, uplifting place to walk. Dogs allowed before 7:30 A.M. so if you have puppies they will find friends there... <3

Nice well kept park & beach. Has its own small dedicated parking area. There's also nice, grassy areas to lay out or just relax. It's even beautiful & peaceful at night to just come, sit and enjoy the ocean!

A great Beach very clean beautiful park for the babies to play perfect grass area for picnics the only thing that needs to be updated is the beach house where they have the restrooms it's the same building from when I was a kid and I'm in my middle forties
