This place is awesome, and I wish I had known about these trails when I used to mountain bike more. I will still have to make it back here at some point to ride the trails instead of walking them. Trails are well kept and pretty well marked with different colored paint for the 3 different trail loops. With over 12 miles of trails, there is plenty of space to ride or walk for a while. I saw only one bench to sit down on throughout the trails, but I didn't make it to every trail. From all the recent rains, I saw a bunch of different types of mushrooms growing. I also heard a lot of different birds while on my walk.

We really liked this spot for a walk in the woods. We stopped for a picnic on top of some granite rocks. We saw toads, lots of native plants, different ferns, moss, mushrooms. Invasive plants as well, unfortunately.
The trails are varied- some wide gravel, some rocky terrain through the trees.
Lots of birds chirping.
Bring your bug spray!
Easy parking in the neighborhood. Bikes are allowed (super cool!)

Beautiful set of trails that can keep you busy for hours. Recommend Alltrails as the trails aren't well marked and Google maps doesn't know what to make of it. Mountain biker friendly, off leash dog friendly. Some fun little ups and downs, can almost feel like "real" hiking. Only downside is that the perimeter kisses up against the highway for a while so you get some road noise there. In high (...our normal) water times there are streams and a couple vernal pools.

Really nice! Pretty buggy in the summer and the trails aren’t always marked very well, but I got the Essex Country Greenbelt Go app like other reviews suggested and that helped a ton. There’s multiple trails and multiple places where they connect so you can take many different routes.

They have different trails ranging from easy to moderate. Nice area to walk our pup. Very peaceful beautiful land.

Longer set of trails than Appleton Farms, more forested than Coolidge Point, there are no public restrooms or food areas near the Commons and parking is difficult. It is unlikely you’ll see anyone, there is active cellphone service and there is an Essex County Greenbelt app that’s helpful called ECgo which can tell a trail user where on the trail they are!! GREAT experience!!

Awesome place with some history in there. Its claimed to be haunted and has some old home foundations next to one or two trails.

One of the best places to go Mt biking. Almost every section of trail has an A, B, and hero line, meaning Cross country bikes are just as at home here as a trail or Enduro style bike. It is a big enough area that you can spend a few hours here and never hit the same section twice. On a busy day I will see one or two other groups of riders. It never feels crowded.
Some sections are flat some hilly, there are a few rock gardens and several huge boulder gardens, flowy flat and flowing downhill, some good climbs, natural and man made jumps.
Bug spray and GPS are not necessities but are useful.

One of my favorite Greenbelt reservations. The trails are well kept; I always knew which way a trail went. However, trail signage is not great. I never know exactly where I am or what trail I'm on, but I never feel lost as I can always see the trail(s).

This is a special place which is serene and relaxing. Once you get a few hundred yards into the place you would never know that you were only about 20 miles from the major city of Boston and all it’s hubbub. Rather, you might believe you are deep in a forest in Maine or New Hampshire. Walking slowly on the remoter trails here at dusk I have seen groups of deer and a Barred Owl fly not far over my head beginning its evening hunting! Highly recommend to all nature lovers!

This is a wonderful Spotify the trails are managed by Essex county greenbelt. Please play it's a hidden gem for the NorthShore folks are of anybody for that matter biking hiking and more. I believe it's about a hundred and twenty-seven acres.full of bridges and trails and poison ivy so beware of the poison ivy and sumac as well you have to be very super careful of that stuff that'll have you itching like a mofo!

Greenwood Avenue trails are a great area for mountain biking, trail running, and hiking.
There are some big hills there with nice views of Beverly Farms.

Usually lovely.
Unfortunately the main trail was primarily a sheet of ice. Wear shoes that can handle ice and you will be fine..I was in sneakers...an adventure

126 acres of woodland trails of varied terrain. Beautiful for walking on easy in and out path or more rigorous hilly trails.

Beautiful old forest and swamp. Amazing bird song, frogs, plants. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent.

Supposedly haunted, it's a great walk if not for the copious trash others deposit along the path like jerks.
