This shop is a hidden gem. A cozy little book shop tucked away in Beverly Farms, it has a great selection of books for all interests (and a great kids book room too) and the owner, Hannah, and her staff are all super knowledgeable and have great recommendations. Love this place!

The Book Shop of Beverly Farms is a special place where charm and execution create the perfect atmosphere to browse titles and find your next escape. It’s a must-visit, insider spot for any tour of Boston’s north shore. As a local, my kids love stopping by the children’s section, and we always feel welcome even when piercing the previously mentioned ambiance.

Such a lovely shop with a fantastic selection of young adult, children’s literature, and fiction and nonfiction! Lacking in adult fantasy and new nonfiction and poetry, but it’s such a cozy and sunshiny place. The staff is passionate and helpful.

Hannah and her staff have taken a lovely store and turned it into an absolute gem. I've gotten some great recommendations for my family as well as for hard-to-buy-for friends. Always worth popping in or shopping online.

Measured by square footage this is a small bookstore, but it is eminently browsable due to its tidiness, use of nooks and crannies and well-selected stock. If I were a kid I could spend two hours exploring the children's room. The poetry section, although it is only a shelf is selected with care.

A great local bookshop with friendly staff that is curated with the latest best sellers and gifts. They offer simple and convenient online ordering too.

I'm a writer and author based in n Minneapolis. I shop at and support all my local indie bookstores in the Twin Cities. But I make one exception! The service and efficiency and friendliness at the Book Shop of Beverly Farms is the best in the business. So, every couple months I put in an order with Hannah and her staff in Massachusetts and she sends them to Minnesota. I could not recommend a better bookstore to help us get through the pandemic and beyond!

This is such an excellent indie--the woman in charge, Hannah, is the quintessential bookstore owner: she knows her stock forwards and backwards and she knows her customers by name. The people of Beverly are incredibly lucky.

The Book Shop is approaching its 50th anniversary and really is - and has been for a while - a landmark to readers and writers all along the North Shore of Boston. I have known the shop since the early 70's and it has been consistently fine-tuned all these years to American culture and writing...and the fun of reading.

A gem of a book store. Pam and her wonderful team never fail to provide great service and wonderful reads. Stop by for a yourself or to find a gift for someone who loves books -- they have cards and wrapping paper, too.

Independent book store with a great staff. They have a good selection and can order anything you wish (our children are voracious and we order by the stack for summertime.)
